Spring fever.

So I am procrastinating. I have test to grade, papers to write, and two novels to read before Thursday and I am surfing the net. Bad girl, bad. I have talked myself into weighing. I walk and work out in a gym and there is a scale right by my treadmill and I have often thought to just weigh, but I decided when I began this process that I was not going to become a slave to the numbers, so I only weigh when I see my surgeon. However, I was walking down the hall, this was yesterday, and I felt, at that exact moment, I felt like I dropped about ten pounds. I turned around and used the force I usually use and almost spun up to the ceiling. I know this sounds funny, but truthfully, one minute I feel one way and the next, zap, I feel differently, so if I weigh and see a ten or fifteen pound loss, then that will explan the over turning or the other things that are happening to me. Plus, I think that will move me out of morbid obese, not sure, have to do the bmi thing. Wow, I am sure not wanting to work. I am just not wanting to write or read or grade. You know what would be good, a vacation, a big fat vacation. Oh, and I think the trees are going to bloom out, and this time of the year makes me so crazy for summer and lazy days and flowers and fresh produce. Man, a vine ripe tomato would be so nice about now and beans and fresh green onions and greens and a bite or two of new potato. Okay, stop. I will, but I am so hungry for fresh stuff. Do any of you ever feel schizoed?

Schizoed??? Don't know what it is, but I think I like to feel it. Did you still resist the urge to get on the scale? You're such a strong woman. A nice long vacation somewhere, anywhere would be nice. Our 25th anniversary is this September and we wanted to go on a cruise, but it seems the son is getting married and, oops, once again the money has other places to go. such is life, eh? susan

Kenny and I talked about doing a cruise over the Christmas holiday break. I think we should. Maybe the middle of winter is the best time to go to the tropical places. Hmm. our anniversay is in June, and I always forget. He is the romantic one and I am the one who never remembers anything like that. But this year, I am going to beat him to the punch.

Boy, you do have spring fever, don't you? You can just take your thin self and the husband and sail away. Make sure you keep you dark glasses on so he doesn't know you're watching the pool boys!

You two are a mess! I am going to cancel whatever I have the next time there is a get together just so I can laugh at the two of you. Yes I have spring fever too but I opened my windows and let fresh air in to keep my sanity! Ya'll do an awesome job keeping us laughing! BTW while you are laying out at the beach and chasing the pool boys can you tell me what exactly is Countdown milk and where would I purchase such a thing? Rhonda

Hey Rhonda, Yep, we're a mess and I'm afraid that we're getting quite a reputation in Russellville! It's one of the reasons we're thinking about the next one in Conway. Better to change locations before they run us out of town. Calorie countdown milk is amazing stuff. You can buy it at Wal-mart supercenters, and I think most Krogers carry it too. It has the milk sugars removed and replaced with splenda, so it reduces the carbohydrates by 75%...only 3 grs per 8 oz. BUT, you still get all of the protein and calcium/vit D you'd get from regular milk. I don't much care for it alone or on cereal, but I use it to make my lattes and steamers(heated milk with sugar free vanilla syrup). You can use it for anything you'd use regular milk for, you just get less carbs. I guess you coul even use it for your protein shakes, it would increase the protein for you. See ya!

Hi Jeannie, I also love the spring. I am at work and I want nothing more that to go home and sit on my porch and enjoy this weather. I love a good tomato too. I think I will plant some this year. Start my own little garden. I enjoyed the time I spent with you and Susan on Sunday. I told my husband that you just kept me laughing. I look forward to seeing you again soon. We come up your way for baseball so if I am in town I will let you know. Take care. Terri
