OT: pet help
First, I am sorry if this is too OT...
In the last week, my two cats have decided that they are on the warpath to kill one another- one more than the other. I have had the aggressor(the female) checked by the vet and she's a sweet healthy 14 year old calico. Only an old injury to her eye had given her a cataract, but she has not been bothered by the loss of sight.
I feared/hoped it was something chemical or medical... They have lived in peace for 2 years. They shared beds, food bowls and everything until the tomcat incident.
Basically, a local tomcat came a calling and she has now taken her fight or flight response to the younger cat. After a week of trying to reintroduce them, it's only become worse.
I wondered if anyone knows of an adoption site or anyone who needs the companion of a sweet loving indoor cat. She loves dogs, would be fine with kids as long as they are not too aggressive. She lives to curl up next to you.
It's killing me that I have to find her another home... but I have to think of the safety of them both. (not to mention my own sanity...)
Thanks for listening.

they are still going at it, I close one in the bathroom, let the other one out of the bedroom... switch about every hour... I am hoping to find a home for the older one.
Its so weird- even with 2 50 lb dogs, she never has shown such aggression...
thanks so much for the warm thoughts... It'll get sorted out, and I have learned to sleep with earplugs
