Southern Arkansas OH'ers ok??
I'm ok, but had to outrun the tornadoes! I started the day out in Crossett, my best friend's little girl had her birthday party yesterday morning so me and my 2 girls went down there. I thought I could make it back home before the weather got really bad. Didn't happen. I was almost home, just barely back in town when the bottom fell out, I couldn't see anything Just then I passed my church so I turned around to go back, thankfully there were people there because we are renovating our sanctuary. As I was turning around my husband called, he was at work (policeman), and told me to not come into town it was really bad, they had trees and power lines down everywhere. I told him I was going to the church then I looked up and saw a funnel cloud forming, I told him about it then raced back to the church where we took cover Turns out, the funnel cloud that formed over Monticello was the tornado that hit Dumas. Monticello sits in a little valley so we rarely get hit, we usually get skipped over. So my husband calls and says its all clear, we can go home. A few minutes after getting home, I turn on the weather and sure enough, here come some more headed right for us. So my husband calls and says come to the police dept., they have a basement. So we race up there and hang out most of the rest of the day. Thankfully , we didn't get hit by any tornadoes. Had some wind damage around town and I think one touched down out in the county, but nothing as bad as what Dumas got. So, that was my day yesterday. How did everybody else fair?
