This time next week.....
I cant believe it, this time next week, I will be home and post op, and hopefully losing. I am so excited, the closer it gets to Monday the more excited I get. I went to a support group meeting last night in Little Rock at Baptist Hospital, and it was awesome. Dr. Baker requires you to go to at least 4 the year after surgery. OMG, Ill probably be at every one. It was GREAT. Any one who is in the Little Rock area and wants to attend can attend. There were people there who were patients of Dr. Gibbs and Dr. Wellborn. Had a great time, mainly just a sharing of the journey and asking questions of the post ops.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!!! Ive got a busy one planned to take my mind off of things. I have to go to my PCP today and weigh and fax it to Baker's office. Im so excited, I've lost 11 pounds already. Tonight Im taking my nephew on a date!!! Tomorrow hubby and I are driving to Ruston, LA to get my new walking partner, a 2 year old doberban pincer!!!! Sunday is church and church and then, oh my go****s MONDAY!!!!
Stay warm and safe, see you all tomorrow!!!
Hugs

Rhonda,
I know you are getting so excited! The surgery will be over soon and you'll be on your way to recovering and becoming a LOSER! I'll be thinking about you the whole time. It sounds like you'll be plenty busy to keep your mind off things until Monday. I love Dobermans! We can't have any pets because my 3 yr. old has allergies, but I'm hoping maybe she'll grow out of them.
Let us know how you're feeling once you're home when you feel up to it. I know you're going to do great! We'll keep the bench warm for you .
Take care,
Denise
I'm glad to hear the support group was fun for you. I've only been to one, and that was the night they announced they had been given the "center of excellence" distinction. All it was was a rehash of the facts and figures regarding their great track record. That's all well and good, it just wasn't what I was looking for at the time.
Next time you plan on going to one, let me know and maybe I'll go with you.
Keeping busy is the best thing for you right now, that and loving that new dobie.
Hugs
Susan
