Hello everyone, hope this post finds all of you healthy and happy and slimmer.....as I have posted before I still have some issues being almost 6 years post op. Like getting enough protien....well I found a whey protien shake that is actually good and doesnt make me barf.....it can be found at www.allthewhey.com look under the bariatric catagory. I ordered the sample pack and have tried the chocolate mousse and today was the orange creamsicle......it was great. I mix it with 8oz 2%milk and ice. It isnt thick or foamy, and it has a slight taste of the flavor it it called so it isnt over powering by no means. The instructions say you can mix it with water as well. so anyhow at the first of the year I altered my eating and also got my butt back on the treadmill. I have been holding at a 5-7 pound weight loss but inches are coming off as the butt of my jeans are getting baggy. So I am happy. The one thing I altered is adding the protien shakes back into my diet after years without them. So yes upping your protiens and following the basic rules of the pouch do work. I just wanted to let yall know about the shakes because one of the reasons I stopped them was they are just nasty. Myabe this might help some of you. Hope all of you have a good day. Tammy

HI Tammy, Thanks for the heads up on the protein. I've been pretty happy with the Fuzzy Navel from Syntrax, but you never know when I'll decided I hate it. Good job on getting onto the treadmill again. I joined the gym last week, in fact, I'm waiting for some clothes to dry so I can go this morning. The protein thing is interesting. My doc said to cut back to one drink a day at 8 weeks, but it was then that my weight loss stalled, or at least slowed down. So, I started back on two a day(sometime one and a half if I'm getting enough from food that day) and I've lost 17 lbs since the first of the year. Baggy butt jeans are a GOOD thing! Take care, Susan

That's great Tammy. I'm glad you found a protein you could tolerate! That is a big help in getting in my protein. I usually have a protein shake for breakfast. Sounds like you're doing great! Margie
