Hey guys, Hope everyone had a great weekend, ours was not so great, hubby in bed all weekend, down in his back. It was also very cold, but hey, at least its not like my mother in law in Boston. That is wicked cold. Well, Im semi-excited. If my doctor will get off of his tail and send a letter to Dr. Baker saying I have failed 2 years of supervised diet attempts, then I will be able to see Dr. Baker this Thursday, at 9:40. I talked to Christie today, and she said if I come Thursday, she will have my surgery scheduled when I get there. So Im not so down in the dumps now. Kinda feel like singing again, but I'll spare you all that misery, lol. Thanks so much for the support I've gotten while I whined about my impatience. Im glad to see so many folks finally getting their dates, just keep my spot clean on the bench cuz Im coming over!!! A big to all my friends out there, thanks for all you do!! Hugs, Rhonda

Hey Rhonda, That's some good/encouraging news alright! Maybe this time next week you'll be packing a bag or getting the house ready for you to be able to relax after surgery. It will all come together, I promise! I joined a gym yesterday. Still have trouble with my foot and ankle after having torn an achilles tendon two weeks after my WLS. BUT the trainers say there's lots I can do to get a good work out in anyway. We'll see. At least I'm going to give it a try. I've lost 54lbs without exercising, so lets see what happens when I do. Take care, and know your buddies are here for you! Susan

Hey Rhonda... just wanted to say good luck on getting your surgery scheduled! Dr. Baker is my surgeon and I really liked him. He doesn't have a great pre-op bedside manner. He really gives it to you straight and wants to make sure you know what you're getting done and all the risks. Once the surgery was over, he was different. Still direct, but nice. I respect him a lot. My one year anniversary is Feb 20th. I go for my one year check up on Feb 23rd. I'm down 140 lbs. as of today. It's been an amazing year! We're saving you a spot on the bench girl!! Margie
