So down in the dumps!!!
Hey guys,
I hate to post negative, but I know ya'll will totally understand, and just need to say it to someone who knows.
I was waiting on my surgery date pending the results of my colonoscopy. Well, had that done Monday morning, got the results in Wednesday morning, and the dr.'s office still has not scheduled anything!!!!! I call every day, b/c they told me too, and NOTHING!!! I was told "as soon as I get the results I'll get you scheduled" To me, that is interpreted, "get me results and I'll have you an appt for consultation w/in 24 hours" So needless to say, Im not so much mad as I am aggravated. Im not a patient waiter, lol. So I suppose I still need more patience.
On an up note, I did go out last night with Hubby, my mom and my sister, we had a nice dinner and then we went bowling!!! So much fun, forgot what good exercise that is, so if anyone is looking for a fun new way to burn some calories, get out and go bowling.
Well I gotta get moving, miles much to travel today, hope all has a great day, see ya tomorrow on here.
Hugs,
Rhonda
Yes i do understand what you are going through. On my part it was the ins co at first then the doctor's office. They had all my stuff messed up but they finally got it all together. I know I have no patience either but in this stuff you have to make patience and it is very hard, because you want your surgery so bad and have waited so long already. I hope everything works out maybe they will call you Monday. Be careful on you traveling and good luck.
Tina
Hang in there! I know it is so hard to wait, when you think it is such a simple thing to schedule a date and give you a call. I understand your frustration. It took me a month just to get a referral from my PCM and all they had to do was fill out a form, that they had already received, and fax it back to the insurance company. I called and left messages every day for two weeks, I never received a call back. If I did manage to talk to somebody I was told "well so and so was supposed to do it, or I'll tell so and so and she'll call you today"...that never happened. So finally my husband started going up there every other day and kept getting the run around too. They said the doctor needed to write a letter to attach to the form and they were waiting on that, so we gave them the benefit of the doubt. Finally, after one month we were notified that they had finally submitted my referral and we received a copy of the "letter" that my doctor sent them...it was 3 lines It took a month for him to write 3 lines and fill out a form!! But, in the end I got the results I was looking for.
Stay on them, don't just assume that they remember what they promised you. If the person you're talking to can't give you an answer, ask to talk to someone who can. Don't be afraid of being aggressive, this is your life and they shouldn't play around with it. I sincerely hope you get an answer soon, let us know!
Take care,
Denise
