ARGH!!!!! STILL WAITING-I NEED PATIENCE!!!!
Hey guys,
Well, just an update on my not so patient wait. I was sooooooo excited b/c I finally had everything done, and just knew I'd have a surgery date by the end of the week. Well, my PCP called yesterday and all of my hemocult tests showed positive for blood. Sooooooo, now I have to have a colonoscopy to make sure there is nothing wrong. I know its best to be safe than sorry, but Im just so anxious. Christie at Dr. Bakers office has assured me that as soon as we get the results of the test, they can schedule my consultation, and my surgery at the same time. Im just a little down guess this is my lesson of the month in patience.
Just keep me in your prayers, and my hubby, cuz Im about to drive him I think!!! This is my update of the week, I hope next week, Im giving out a surgery date. If I get one, all will know, Ill be shouting from the mountain tops. Thanks for all your support to this point and beyond. Im off to the doc for the test consultation. Ill report more when I get home. I gotta get going!!
Rhonda
When we decide to do this whole thing, it seems like there is no end to the hoops you have to jump through and the red tape you have to deal with. Believe me, it's worth the wait, and will make you appreciate it that much more.
It took seven months for the person at St Vincent's to get all of my "ducks in a row". I don't think the good Lord has ever put a person on this earth that frustrated me more than her. When I finally got my approval letter, I was in such a state of shock that she had finally done her job correctly I couldn't enjoy the fact that I'd finally been approved.
Let us know how things are going, we're here for you!

Well, I went to the doc this afternoon to schedule the colonoscopy, and Ill be doing that Monday morning at 7 am. So for all of those folks who think Im full of stuff, I wont be that day, lol.
Got in for that wayyyyyy sooner than I expected, so maybe this is my lesson in patience.
Thanks guys,
Rhonda
Hey Rhonda. I'm sorry you're having to wait! But you are right about being safe. Dr. Baker did my surgery and I think he's the best. I'm sure all WLS patients think they have the best doctor! Well, most of them anyway.
I hope your test comes back good and they can get you scheduled right away. Before you know it, you'll be on the losing side!! We're here for you. So if you get frustrated or anything... just come on here and vent!!
