top o the mornin to ya

Good morning everyone....another day another dollar. I have not been sleeping for weeks....dont know why. I have been up since 2 am this morning. Guess I have too much on my mind. Anyhow.....how is everyone? Feeling good and skinnier today? Any good news? Is anyone in the counties declared disaster from the recent ice? one small tip for wls patients.....it is a good idea to wear a medic alert bracelet or whatever. I have been wearing dog tags since my surgery. It is just a good idea to let people know that you have had a weight loss procedure. To look at my tummy you can not really see any scars so I am just being safe in the event of an accident. I am also RH- on my blood type. protien shakes are nasty......for those who dont like their taste try adding sugar free TANG or NESQUIK....check with the dr first tho. I still dont like them....ew. I drink slim fast shakes (the kind in a can...cappuccino delight is yummy), now cause I dont get enough protien...i actually hate meat and refuse to eat beans. I do not eat any type of water life...icky. I have always had issues with consuming food that had a face prior to landing on my plate. So if anyone has any recipes that may help with my meat/poultry consumption issues...send them on. ok well I have a few things to do here...I will check back through out the day. Howdy do to you! I'm off today, and have been busy. Went to the dermatologist this morning to have some moles cut off my face. I wear a CPAP with a chin strap to bed, and these moles were starting to get irritated....so off with them, I say!!! Truth be known, since I first found a hair growing out of one I've wanted them to be removed. The CPAP was all the doc needed to hear and ins. will cover it. Yipee...but now I have three band-aids on my face. Careful what you wish for, right? Son, his fiance and I went to check out a place for thier wedding in July this afternoon. Yep, band-aids, no make up and all. This place is a new performing arts center that just opened two months ago. It was so beautiful, very classy, really what the three of us were looking for. Everything was perfect, parking, dressing rooms, beautiful fountain on the terrace, full bar set up , Brazilian hardwood floors....$3500!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My whole wedding cost $600, yes, it was 25 years ago, but yee gads....talk about sticker shock. Thankfully, there are plenty more places to look at..they can keep they stinkin' Brazilian hardwood! Came home with groceries and before I could put them away had to give the dog a bath. He's been in the house for a few days not able to go run outside because of the rain, so now he's having a good ol' time running in the mud. It was caked all over him, what a mess. I'm heading in for a homemade FF SF vanilla latte and a home decorating catalog that came in the mail. I'm POOPED!! Hugs to all, Susan

well sounds like you had quite the adventure today.....me well i am playing billing clerk and accounts payable today...woooohooo I have been up since 2ish and i am feeling the sleepy time approaching. i think i am getting a cold or strep...ick. must be going around the schools. girl you need to come wash my dog. he is an italian greyhound and he hates baths but will stand there and endure the torture and then he runs into the bed and leaves a wet spot on my side of the bed. you know for the cost of the whole brazilian hardwood floors you could pay for one of my boobs........ just thought i would throw that out there. ff sf vanilla latte......how you make that. today for lunch...beef fajita taco salad, i ate only the meat. everyone else in the office ate like starving beings from a much skinnier planet....it was a food frenzy in here. they are slobs. i over look them. anyhow...i am gonna finish my work and be back in a bit tammy

Dont feel too bad for me washing the dog. All I have to do is tell him it's time for a bath and he goes in and walks right into the shower (seperate from the tub). He just stands there until get the towels out and the water adjusted. He's the best. Sounds like your guy knows just how to get back at you for giving him a bath... they're so darn smart it's scary sometimes. Yea, well, about those boobs of yours, I think you're on your own there. If I can get away with not spending too much on the son's wedding, I've got my own "issues" to deal with. Starting with my eyelids and working down from there. Everyone used to tell me what great skin I have, always asking me what make up I used, etc.. I'd tell them I didn't have good skin, it's just that I'm fat and all of the wrinkles are fiiled in. I was right, too! Now that I've lost #50, I'm starting to see it in my face. Hope it all catches up with itself soon, or I'll be getting a morgage on the old homestead to pay for all of the work I'll need. We have an espresso machine at home. DH and DS both work for Starbuck's, so I know all the tricks. I don't like to bother steaming the milk, so I just heat fat free Calorie Countdown milk, add some sugar free vanilla syrup and a shot of espresso. I get 12 grams of protein, whatever the calcium count is, plus a boost of energy mid afternoon. Can't beat it! I know what you mean about the way people around you eat. I never really noticed it before my surgery, probably because I was as bad as they are. One of the girls I work with literally inhales her food, fastest eater I've ever seen. It's like someone is going to take it away from her. For the amount of money she spends on lunch every day, you'd think she'd at least want to tast it! There's a gal in Jonesboro who I've been e-mailing back and forth with for a few months now. She's not too active onthe boards anymore, just got tired of the junk. Anyway, we've been wanting to get together sometime. We had talked about meeting in Brinkely....would you want to join us? Think about it...nothing planned yet, but thought I'd toss it out there. We feel badly for planning get togethers that are so far away from all of you in that part of the state. We've talked about rotating the location so we can have a chance to meet up with everyone, but I dont have a problem going that direction by myself if there isn't anyone who wants to make the drive. There are four of you now in that area....that makes a nice little get together!!! Anyway, I know you're at work, and I should complete this lovely day by folding laundry. Chat with you later, Susan

I hear ya on how people eat and how we "notice" it now. my goodness i cant stand to see people eat now. the twins are all i am getting fixed.....i could get a tummy tuck but that grosses me out as well as a butt lift....ewww to be honest i dont look like i was so over weight. i do wear a bikini in the summer. i honestly look like i never lost the baby weight from have two kids. keeping hydrated with drinking plenty of water and keeping lotion on every part of your body also helps with the skins ability to bounce back. of course every person is different some skin just stays and some does tighten. Brinkley...where is that? I would love to meet up with you sometime. If I can find my way I dont mind driving. The other ladies or gentlemen near me dont seem to get on here much. and to be honest i have become accustomed to you and jeannie and i have only chatted briefly with each of you. i am shy and dont have a lot of computer time. i mentioned once before about not knowing anyone who has had surgery, so i cant relate to my sisters or my daughter. no one but us can know how we feel or what we mean when we say things like dumping.....or pouch...or RNY. oh girl it is almost quitting time........now i get to go home and listen to a 17 and 13 year old fight....stop the insanity. yall should not feel bad about planning get togethers in your neck of the woods. no expects you all to drive to this area...its too far. with plenty of time i will be hooking up with yall someday.....i will bring my pillow and sleeping bag and the crazy mini greyhound and we will have ourselves a sleepover...I even have jammies with feet and a drop down flap over my butt......thats a cute image...huh?? ok well I am gonna close here...until tomorrow my friends..... huggs, Tammy

Good morning Tammy...lol Well it's actually evening now! I had to be in Fort Smith all day and then finish up some stuff at my office. I didn't get home until about 7:30. I'm pooped! I have a hard time going to sleep. Once I get there, I can usually stay asleep. I take Lunesta to help with that. I take it a few days and get myself into a pattern of falling to sleep. Then I can go off it a while. It's just a cycle. Last night I didn't take it and I couldn't sleep. But by the time I realized I wasn't going to go to sleep, it was too late to take it! Ugghhhhh Tonight I'm going to take one!! Gotta sleep or I'm miserable! Hello Susan... sounds like you had an active day off! Not much resting, huh? My son and his fiance are getting married May 26th. They rented the small garden at The Cresent Hotel in Eureka Springs. Her sister and BIL are paying for that, so I don't know how much it costs. We're meeting Saturday to make sure we have all our ducks in a row for the wedding. I'm still looking for a dress. Talk to you guys tomorrow... maybe! Not even sure where I'll be all day. Margie

hey Margie......how are you? i am tired too. i take Trazadone for sleep, it is actually an anti depressant, but i only take it when i cant sleep. my 37th birthday is May 26......i am the baby of the family. dang....i forgot to take my vitamins this morning......my son is so hard to get ready in the mornings that i find myself forgetting alot of things, one day i walked out the door in my house shoes. ok...well anyhow i have a few things to do here in the office....i will check back in a little bit. everyone have a good day.... tammy
