Good Morning EVERYONE! Here's a Date Thought

Well it's sunday already, glad we're off tomorrow too. LOL I'm going to the Bridal Fair in Little Rock this afternoon with a friend of mine who is getting married in Sept. That should suck the life outta me for yet another day. lol Ok, How does Sunday, January 28th sound to everyone for our next get together date????? Works for me, lol How about the rest of ya's? Ooooh, and ALL you Arkansans that are lurking and not responding, you're invited too!!!! The more the merrier. And how about this for fun......Aside from our eating lunch, how about everyone bring a little gift bag and we'll do a gift bag enchange. And in the little gift bag put a lil sumpin, nothing expensive, just a little sumpin. I don't wanna break anyone. And IF that will not work for you just let us know, we are workable. Hugs, Cathi

Cathi, that sounds like a great idea. I'm all for the 28th as well. It rained cats and dogs all day yesterday and most of the night and looks like it will continue today. We left Fayetteville yesterday around 1 and headed south and down in the rivervalley, it was raining harder than here, but on our way home, we noticed that the temperature were dropping the higher up the hill we got. When we got out of our van, the front of the van was covered with ice. That bridal thing sounds like fun, sorta.

LOVE the new picture!!! The 28th sounds good to me so far, will know better the closer it gets, but for now, count me in. Went to the bridal fair with the soon to be DIL, her mom and sister. We had a nice time, if anyone can have a nice time in a can of sardines!!! Keep in mind that I really wanted to be home in my sweats in front of the tv watching the playoff games. But, in the spirit of trying to be a good mother-in-law, I got dressed, packed my water into a tote bag(for carrying freebies) and off I went. Parking was terrible, finally found a spot about 5 blocks away. Called the bride before getting out of the car to see where she was, well, she and her bridesmaids were eating lunch 10 miles away!! Clinching my teeth, I said ok, see you inside. The walk would have been fine, even good for me if it weren't raining cats and dogs. Just as my cell phone rang, the dang umbrella turns inside out from a wind gust, so I'm trying to answer the phone, find a dry spot to stand, and struggle with the darn umbrella. It's her sister, who I'm sure was a cheerleader in her younger days( no offence to cheerleaders) and is waaaaaaay too perky for me today. I'm trying to be polite while dealing with the umbrella. Finally got inside only to find the whole top floor of the convention center is occupied by a cheerleading competition!!! OMG....hundreds of them, great and small....very small..4-5 year olds with eyeshadow and glitter in their hair. Lord save me. Got downstairs where the bridal fair is being held. It was so crowded that you couldn't walk through the isles much less look at much. Poor Tess was very overwhelmed by the whole thing. Maybe they'll consider eloping! Glad it's Monday, glad to be home cleaning and doing laundry. Hope everyone has a great day, and if you're off too, do something fun! Susan

I am not off today.........blah the rail road does not observe this as a holiday. glad you survived your adventure to the bridal fair.. I however was on the couch in my sweats watching tv...no playoffs tho...unless it is hockey. being a yankee i love my hockey. so how are you doing today? i weighed in at 146.5....i think... might have been 146.0. oh well either way it was cool. where are yall meeting on the 28th, if you dont mind my asking? i am on lunch right now....so i will check back in a few mins. tammy

Hi Tammy, I don't know any of the details yet as to the get together, but we'll make LOTS of posts in the days/week leading up to it. I was reading your other post, you're doing so well. Eventhough you're fighting with the same few pounds, you know how much worse it could be. You're moving in the right direction, right??? Take care, Susan

Hi Susan, thanks for the info. yes i am moving in the right direction but it is still discouraging. I guess the mental abuse from my daughters father has really taken a toll on me even though it was 17 years ago. i also get tired of ignorant people suggesting i took the easy way out to lose weight...........um yeah ok. i guess the fact that we all risk our lives having this surgery was the easy way out....or how we live on next to nothing but we all still function and improve our lives. People are amazing. Thats why I come on here now.....no one here would even suggest some of this crap I hear. I lost my best friend right after surgery because I was losing weight and she wasnt. I had surgery she didnt need it. I would be interested in meeting up with all of you sometime. I live so far away and dont know my way around arkansas. It might be a while before I get up the nerve to venture out. I have panic attacks some times when I drive...traffic....freaky. Anyhow my day is about over. I am going home. Tomorrow I go to the boob doctor to check on those TWINS i am getting. I will talk to you later. have a nice night,Tammy
