More News
Well, I haven't much news, but I can tell you that we had a great time in Russellville and the next time, we hope more folks can join us. My wls friend from Missouri is going to be here Thursday and I can't wait to get to spend time with her and to see how much more weight she has lost.
School starts next week and I am so not ready to get back into the groove. I do miss having something to do, but I don't miss the stress of having so many deadlines.
This evening, I am going to try to meet my walking goal of 3mph for thirty minutes.
I told you guys there wasn't much news so you guys need to get on here and give me dish. I need lots of stuff to add to the more news thread.
have a great day. I want meat, I know, I just want to eat meat. I'm ready to back away from the fish and beans and eat a bit of juicy steak or chicken or something. Drabs.
Hey Jeannie,
So the weather is supposed to be really yucky for your diamond hunt. What 'cha gonna do instead?
I should be off work mid afternoon on Friday, late afternoon on Saturday, if you still come down this way.
According to my PCP's scale today I've lost the "golden" 50! My scale says 46. Who do YOU think is right????
I'll give you a big thick steak for the correct answer!
Susan
having had surgery in 2001, i have learned to go by only one scale.....also 4 pounds either way is flux. have you been weighing yourself on one scale in particular? I still go by my home scale....just because i can weigh my self numerous times and get an average. Congrats on either one 50 or 46, my goodness thats a great accomplishment in itself.
well I hope everyone has a good evening and a good day tomorrow.
ok i bought my scale just before surgery and used it until last year and decided it was a liar. bought a new one...it lies too. i personally would stick to the one at home. as for those 4 pounds remember flux.....water retention, gas, constipation...blah blah blah. increase your water and protien and maybe do something different with your exercise...like add weights or increase your elevation on the treadmill. the body does not burn fat until you go past 20 minutes of continuous exercise. Also remember muscle weighs more than fat but you have to have muscle to burn fat. I would not put all of my faith in the gimmick called a scale........because it cant measure inches lost. So honey, go by how your clothes fit. You know, I wore a size 8 shoe before surgery now I can wear a 6. My jeans went from a 22-24 to a 6-8 (depends on who makes them and how they are cut)
you can take two tennis balls and cut them open wide enough to fill with pennies the super glue it shut and bam......... you got yourself 2 one pound weights. I am facing a point after surgery where I go up and down. I go up and down from 145 to 153. The smallest I have been since surgery is 133 and that was because I was going through my divorce and had no money just enough to feed my kids...so it was unhealthy how I got that low. Where would I like to be........ 143. I am a severe stress eater.
Ok I have to get busy with work. I will check back later. I walked an hour on treadmill this morning at 3.5 miles per hour, elevation of 2.5 and that got me 3.25 miles all before 6am. Have a good day. Tammy
Well, I havent much news either, still no surgery date, but I refuse to get impatient.
But do you guys know what I'm gonna do when I get a date, besides shout for all of you to hear??? Im gonna

ok....gotta say this....I eat steak...only a small amount. It took several months before I could eat it. The only thing I gave up completely is ice cream....the smell, and apples. I can eat most things but only a bite or taste. Remember I am 5 yrs post op RNY. The hardest thing for me to give up was cokes. I drink them like people smoke cigs. I went from 12-24 down to maybe a half can a day. My 17 year old makes me drink some because she says I am unbearable with out it.
I take pride in being a "loser" hahaha
bye guys
