My ride just started!!

Hello, My ride has just started. I have filled out my paperwork, done all my blood work, seen my psychologist (and she says im really not crazy, lol), and now we are waiting on insurance approval and a surgery date. Ill be using Dr. Baker in Little Rock, and Im really excited. Its great to see a room for Arkansas people, Ill be one that checks daily. Good luck to everyone who is post surgery and pre surgery as well. Any pre surgery advice would be welcomed. Hugs to all, Rhonda

Rhonda, this is great news. My pre surgery advice, stop all the caffiene. Once you have surgery, you will not be given caffiene and you will have major withdrawals. YOu are going to have so much excitement, please keep us posted.

Congrats!!! I just had my surgery 12-12-06 I now live in Oklahoma, but I used to live in Little Rock and worked with Dr. Baker in the OR at Baptist, and I remeber that he is a really good Dr. with strong ethic. Good luck to you.....My advise-really get off the caffeine, pop, and sugar as soon as possible. I was off that stuff for about 6 weeks before surgery so I didn't miss it as much as I did when I first quit. Oh yeah, and don't rush your recovery, I went back to work at 2 weeks out and now I am regretting it a little.

Rhonda, I am doing well. I am trying to keep myself focused on losing weight and getting out of school. Life is full of struggles and at best, we can do one problem at a time, right? Anyway, this surgery has given me a new lease on life and for once, I think it might work.

HI, l am using Dr. Wellborn in Little Rock..and my surgery is tomorrow...wow...just a few short weeks ago, this was all a thought. And now, it is happening..l still cant believe it..l am a bit nervous, had a wonderful dinner at Red Lobster, and l am ok..l doubt l will sleep much..where do you live, l am in BB. glad to meet you, and we should be close to the same dates..so that will be cool...talk soon..geri , oh and I too am not lol
