Support meetings?

I just wanted to find out if there are any meetings in or near Mountain Home?

I tried the support group forum and I guess they're working on it because it said it was being up dated. You might check with the hospital where you had your surgery, or your surgeon might know of one. Good luck Susan

Thank you for checking. I thought it was maybe just mine that was being updated. I had my surgery in CA and then moved here and not many people have had the surgery in this area or are even familar with it. Thank you again.

Hi Jennifer, I'm a California transplant too! We moved here from the San Diego area about 18 months ago. Took advantage of the real estate boom, paid cash for a house here and now we're just working for retirement. I went to a support group meeting here in Little Rock a couple of months ago and it stunk. I get waaaaaaaaay more support here than I could ever find at Baptist Hospital. If I'm not sure of an answer I get on OH, then I call the nurse at the hospital. I know what you mean about not many knowing about the surgery. Lots of people get the lap band done here. Just think they still want to be able to eat whatever they want....just my opinion. What about your pcp? He/she knows what's going on regarding the surgery, right? Take care and we'll keep in touch.
