Okay, so we only have a couple of folks who are responding but I thought what the hell. I'm going to do a what's new and hope we get something started. Here it is two days before the new year and my birthday. yep, I'll be 52, man oh man. I have seen nine or ten presidents and a couple have been in two terms. I was previous to computers, compact disks, and wireless telephones. I saw the phones before dialing was even used and I had a black and white TV until I was in my teens. I have seen walls going up and coming down and watched a prince marry, divorce, and his wife killed. There have been changes in the meanings of word where bad is good and good is well not so good. I have watched my hair change colors, my eyes go back, and my body do some pretty weird things. To say that I have lived would be an understatement. What about your guys, what have you seen in your long or short lives? On Jan. 11 or 12, my friend, another wls friend, and her hubby from Missouri are coming here and we are going to look for diamonds and hunt for crystals. I hope to meet up with Susan in Russellville and am willing to have others join in our meeting. Tina, I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers for your insurance to give you a speedy approval. Come to Russellville for coffee, we'll have a great time. OH, and those ribs, man oh man, I think they are great. Latonya, I hope you get word soon too. MOM, you, Susan, and I are going to make this board into a great place to get support and make friends. Are you close to Fayetteville? If so, we can meet more than every once in a while. I'm all for support. Susan, give me the date and we will get this show on the road. I'm ready for some meeting and making new friends. Hope you all get into the groove and make a move to make this board as successful as some of the others. Even if it is just us, well, we are a group. Right? You guys have a great night. OH, here is a thought to ponder. What is the one thing that wls will give you that you have missed most. For me, it's buying clothes out of regular stores.

Morning Jeannie, I'll be 52 this year as well...where does the time go? I bought my husband an Ipod shuffle for Xmas and couldn't believe that this thing, no bigger than a postage stamp could hold 12 hours of music. My first record was Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline", my first LP was by the Association. Does anyone even know who they are now? I'm trying very hard not to turn into my mother and getting freaked out when my son and his girlfriend come home with new tatoos, or when someone on TV uses a string of swear words that " in my day" wouldn't have been allowed on the air. I spent the first 50 years of my life living within 15 miles of where I was born, and then after losing all my family in a 14 month period, sold our house and moved 1800 miles away to start a new life. That new life now includes my new lease on life, a new career for my DH, and a daughter-in-law to be Eventhough I'm in a 10 day stall right now and a little frustrated, WLS has given me my health back already...no more meds for high blood pressure or acid reflux, sleep apnea is resolving and yes, I can cross my legs! So, friends, I can say life is good. Happy New Year to all Susan

Crossing legs? Hmmmm, I remember that feeling. LOL The ultimate glory is when you can cross them, then take the crossed one and stuck it behind the other leg. ROFL that tends to freak people out. Push the protein susan, when you stall go back to the basics. Cathi

Well huh, I'm 42, will be 43 in Feb...Lets see, I remember listening to Paul Anka as a kid and knew every time listened to country I wanted to barf. LOL But love it today. I've seen a few presidenst come and go in my days. I've watched my family split apart, my parents divorce and remarry. I've seen my dad come near death twice in 9years....I've seen the world go from handwriting and typing and the personal touch to computers and emails and well, losing the personal feel of it all. I saw cell phones come in and bag phones were the thing. New its all about "how small of a phone can we get". I've watch the world turn so to speak. What ever happened to families spending time together and Sunday night being family time with Disney? I've seen video (Beta and VSH) come and go, cable, DVD players, microwaves. What the hell is this world thinking??? It's all rush rush rush hurry up gotta go....It REALLY makes you think. I remember when kids had manners, now they are as rude a all get up. What on GOD GREEN EARTH went wrong in our world???? ACK...Ok, enough of that crap. LOL So lets resurrect this board and get some friendship and buddies going here. What do ya say??? Cathi

Well, I am only 25 so I haven't seen much in the world yet but when I am your age I will be able to say the same you all are saying. Thanks to you for always writing me back and hopefully everything will work out just fine for my surgery. I just hope they don't want too much money because all I will have is my tax money to use. They told I would have to give Baptist 1000 down and up to 1300 for the doctor but that it wouldn't be that much because of adjustments. I just hope and pray that's all I will need.
