I, too, came home with the liquid loratab and I never opened it. I ended up pouring it out. I had very little pain, mostly a headache. I am happy with my choice of having the bypass, but I do understand those who don't want the finality. I dumped on liquid tylenol and if I eat to fast or too much, I get pretty uncomfortable even sick. I am off my blood pressure meds too. I am pleased with my decision.

do you know what pretesting they do the day before surgery...like what they test for? i am thinking a chest exray...did your son get his done yet.. geri

Hi Geri, Dr. Wellborn did my lapband surgery on July 20 2006. I have lost 45 pounds and have really had no troubles. I too am a self pay and ended up putting everything on a low interest rate (3.9%) credit card. I decided instead of getting a new car I would get a new me. I am a single parent so this was a major decision. I am very happy with my band. I have gone from a 24/26 to a 18/20 in a little over four months. Everyone in Dr. Wellborn's office is great. When will Dr Wellborn be on vacation?

He will be back on the 3rd...My surgery is schedualed for the 5th..it is all paid for and l have sent in what he wanted from me. I go for pretesting on Thurs. Hopefully by this time next week, l will have started on a jurney to a new me. geri
