Help paying for Lap Band. Insurance won't pay.

PLEASE HELP! If any one can suggest a way of getting the money to pay for the Lap Band surgery, it would be greatly appreciated. My insurance will not pay for any type of obesity surgery. I have recently had pulmonary edema and heart problems. My doctor said that I am going to die if I don't get the surgery. I am only 33 years old. I want to live! I weight 310 pounds with a BMI of 51. I am single with one income. As soon as I can find the finances, I will be able to have the surgery ASAP. Thank you, Crystal

I had to pay 17K for my gastric bypass in Jan. I applied for a 0% interest credit card and have been switching cards when the interest free period expires. The best debt I have ever put us in. When I write that check every month I remember what I have done to our finances and it keeps me on track.

I also put my lapband on a low interest rate credit card (3.9% for the life of the loan). You can also finance it though the doctors office. Dr. Wellborn gave me info and an 800 number. My credit card offer had a lower interest rate so that's what I did. Ask your surgeron I am sure he will know.
