WEll, I had my surgery. It was done on October 25th. I had a little problems with my breathing but was discharged on Sunday, and Wed. I went back to school. I am doing great. I go back for my two week followup next Thursday. I hated travelling so far to have my surgery, but until we got our new insurance, medicare was the primary insurance. Once our other insurance kicked in, I didn't want to change from the surgeon that I had already picked. Anyway, just wanted to update.

Glad to hear you are doing okay. I am getting a little nervous about mine, but not too bad. I just am a little afraid of the pain from the gas they put in you. I have heard it can be awful. Any pointers? Carla

Actually, I didn't have bad pain at all. IN fact, if I had not had a headache, I would not have needed pain medication. My incisions didn't hurt and the little bit of gas pain that I felt was not bad. YOu start losing the gas right away. Even when they took the drainage tube out, that didn't hurt, just felt a little weird.

Carla, don't be afraid! It is not bad at all. Like Jeannie (we had the same surgeon), I had hardly any pain at all after the day of surgery. I didn't have a lot of gas pain either. You will do great!
