I have been trying for 3 years to get WLS--I can not afford self pay. I am willing to switch jobs and careers for this. Does anyone know where I can get a job in the Little Rock area whose insurance covers surgery? I am embarassed asking this, but I am at the end of my rope.

I don't know if they still do, but a friend of mine worked for the temp company Manpower and their insurance paid for her surgery. She had a full time job and worked for them enough to qualify for their insurance. Teresa

Being a nurse find a friend in medical billing at a surgeon's office, get some insurance names and do the research. I answered your other post. At my current job in Oklahoma at least 15 women that I know of(mostly nurses)have had wls in the past 3 years. I just got approved and all I did was submit my info to the Surgeon's office and was approved in 6 weeks (BMI must be >40) and I go for my first of four appts. next week, I am hoping to have surgery by Thanksgiving. And I had only worked for the company for the 90 days to get insurance when I applied for preapproval.

Is there a cox cable company near you? My husband works for them and his insurance was really easy to get me approved and they pay everything. There are a lot of jobs at cox from phone service to dispatching to technical service, just call them and ask. The insurance is immediate and doesn't have prior medical exclusions either.
