My son is moving to Bentonville to work at WalMart Hdqtrs.

He's been offered a job as a programmer in the IT dept. We live in Tennessee, and he will be moving there around the 1st of August or September....just not for sure yet. He'll be looking for an apartment and I was wondering if any of you live in the Bentonville area could give us pointers on what apartments are available that are near the WalMart Hdqtrs. He'd like to live in a nice area that has a pool, basketball court, exercise/fitness center. He doesn't want a dump, but he doesn't want to pay a ridiculous amount for rent either. Anything you want to tell us about the area would be greatly appreciated as we've never been there before. We'd love to see some pictures of the area ~ do you know of any links where we can get an idea what it's like there? Thanks! Melodie

I live in Fayetteville which isn't far from Bentonville. I'm sure he will find an apartment really quick. Has he checked online for apartments in Bentonville, that's how I got the one that I live in for graduate school.

Do you have any pointers on which apartment complexes are in a nice area with necessities nearby such as grocery store, laundry facility? I think we're going to drive up there this coming Monday and scope it out....it's just so hard to get a feel for an area without actually seeing it up close for yourself. Melodie

I live in Bentonville and work at Walmart hdquters. There are a few apartments around the Bentonville area, not many though. We do have a Wal-mart fitness center close to the main office that associates can join which is outstanding.

I am at the HO to. I live in Fayetteville because rent is cheaper. I have a two bedroom 1 and 1/2 bath that is 475 a month. But there are a ton of cheap apartments. let me knwo what price range he is looking for and we can find it.

Hi Marshall ~ thanks for your reply. He's looking for a 1 bedroom and would like to find an apartment with a pool and fitness center. That way he might be able to meet some people and make some new friends. He'd like to keep the rent around $450. We're thinking of coming up there this Monday and check out the area.
