My Fill

So far I'm loving my fill. I have lost 5lbs since Tuesday. I'm thrilled, because I had stopped loosing for several weeks. I knew I need a fill before, but I had to wait six weeks. I definelty will make sure I get a fill everytime I start thinking I might need one. I just started on soft foods yesterday. I was really tight at first. It took me 3 hours to drink a slimfast the first couple of days. I know you're not suppose to take that long to eat, but I couldn't help it. I just counted it as breakfast and lunch. Someone asked if I spent most of my time here or at the lap band board. I haven't been on either much since a couple of weeks after my surgergy. I'll probably check this one a couple times a week and the lap band board too. I don't usually post often. I did get upstairs one night last week to lift some weights. I'm concerned that if I keep loosing so fast I will have alot of baggy skin. I expect to have some, but I don't want plastic surgery so I'm going to try to lift weights to keep me toned as much as possible. I hope everyone has a great week. Chell 247/222/125

Hi Chell, Dr Wellborn was my surgeon too. However, I had open RNY...As for the sagging skin, no matter how slow you lose you will still have some regardless. The skin has been stretched, and is only going to retract back so far. The way it was put to me was, No matter how many crunches or situps I do I'd still have sagging skin on my stomach....Anyway, Good luck! MOM

Chell, It's great to hear that your first fill went so well. Dr. Wellborn is my surgeon also. I had my surgery June 8, 2006, and did not do the 14 days of liquid like I was suppose to. I did 5 days of liquid and went on to soft foods with no problems. The Doc's office was not very happy with me when they called to check on me. Tomorrow will be two weeks since my surgery and I feel great but can eat more than what I thought I would. I've lost 10 lbs the first 4 days due to the liquids but had not lost any more after the first 4 days. My first fill will be July 18th and I can't wait because I just don't see me losing anymore weight until then. Will see. I was just excited to see your success and thought I'd get in touch. Good luck with your weightloss. lb

Yeah, that saggy skin will be there but the younger you are the more elasticity you have left and that means less sagging. But don't worry about all of that now, just concentrate on losing the weight, and later, you can have nips and tucks.

Good for you, Chell!! I'm so glad that you're losing again. I am stalled right now with my weightloss. My first fill is on July 12 so I'm in the same boat as you were in. It gives me hope that you are losing again!! Yaaaaaaaaaaay!!! :D Cathy Banded May 17, 2006 Dr. Arturo Rodriguez Monterrey, Mexico

Hi Chell, congrats on your first fill. I am waiting for my surgery (im having rny with Wellborn) and I went and bought some of that Palmers Cocoa butter lotion, that pregnant women use to help tighten skin back up after having a baby. I don't know if it works cause I haven't had my surgery yet, but it can't hurt to get some and try it. It says that is tightens skin and improves skins elasticity.
