OOOOH! I have a surgery date!

I just talked with Kim at Dr. Merriman's office. I will have my surgery 8/7/06! She said he only does two Medicare patients a month and July is full but I can have the first one in August which will work great for me! I am so excited but soooooo nervous too!

Hey, you are not going to believe this, I didn't write down Dr. Merriman's office address. Can you email me his address and phone number. I am going to Little Rock and down and then over. Will I come close to where you live, and if so, maybe we can meet for coffee or just to say hi.

Yesterday morning, my hubby and I left Fayetteville determined to make it through El Dorado before noon, even before ten. When we got down the hill and began to get on I-40, there had been a truck that had caught on fire and the on ramp was closed, as was that side of the freeway. We had to change our route or drive about 60 miles out of our way to get on the interstate in Ozark. So, we were forced to go down 71, which turned out to be the quickest and closets route. You're right, I loved Dr. Merriman and Kim things if I can get my cardiologists consult in really soon, I will get the other August date. So, we very well may be in the hospital at the same time. I have to go back for another appoinment prior to surgery and then the surgery. I can't wait. Thanks again for telling me about Merriman.

Dummie me! I just found your post here about your trip to see Dr. Merriman! I am glad you like him. I am so excited. It will be good to have someone there hopefully that I "know"...lol. I feel I know you anyway! I have my EGD on 7/20..then my preop visit I guess before surgery...I remember at my consult he said he wasn't going to exam me that day but would at the preop. I don't know...the EGD may be the preop. I guess I will find out. Gosh, July is coming up quick and we will be on the losing side soon!
