I know there must be at least five people here on this post who have something to say. If you're lurking and waiting for the right time, this is it. Let us hear from you, otherwise this forum is just going to have me rambling on and on and that will get old too. Give me some crumbs here, lets make this forum work.

I know and it takes time to sit and read and write and keep up. But, after you do, get caught up, that is, then it just takes a minute or two each day.

Sorry my phone was out off and on yesterday due to the storms. Today is mom's day. We went to lunch, then to Mountain Man Fruit and Nuts to get me some sugar free stuff and then took a nap. She's scrapbooking now and I'm watching Dr.Phil. Jan

Glad the storm didn't leave much damage. We lose our cable when it rains very long. I guess the stuff on the lines gets wet.

Wellll, I babysat all week my 6 y/o, 4 y/o and 12 week old grandsons and I am pooped...didn't have a minute to post! I've been gone all day...just got back from my psych consult. It went well. Now all I have left to do is have my EGD and then I get a date! YAAAAAAAYYYYY!

Good for you. The EGD is a breeze. I hope your date is soon.

Thanks J. Mc....I hope it is better than the colonoscopy I had last fall. I woke up in the middle of it and it hurt like HE**. I told the doctor I was glad he got a good look because he wouldn't get in there again! It was awful. I plan on telling the anesthetist at the EGD what happened and that he/she better make sure I have enough to keep me from waking up!

They don't really put you to sleep for the EGD. What they do is start an iv and get you ready, get you on your side, put a plastic thingy in your mouth and ask how it feels, which it doesn't feel bad, and then the doc comes in and sits down right at your face and tells you he is about to begin. OH, before that, they make you drink this stuff that is about two ounces and it is to deaden your gag reflex and it taste pretty bad so drink it quickly. Then the doc comes in and then they put something in your iv, valium, and you go lalalala and he does the egd and you go to recovery and really wake from a light sleep but remember very little. It's relatively painless.

That doesn't sound too bad, but my doctor's coordinator says they knock you completely out...which sounds good to me...and my cousin has had several EGDs and he says there was nothing to it and he was out cold...so was my brother in law. If it happens quick then I can handle it whether out or not.
