Topic: Thursday! Whatcha Eatin? R U Exercising?
Hope everyone is having a great Thursday!  Menopause anyone?  I think as I face my 47th birthday I must accept the fact that the menopause train is beginning to stop at my station!  I'm having some slight symptoms.....one is positive and negative.  My boobs are killing me!!  Like when you are preggers.....and no, I'm not.....don't have all the equipment for that........and they have gotten fuller....which is the upside!

My doctor says it is hormones....yeay!  But at least I have cleavage again and not just shriveled raisin boobs!!

Eats today:
B1-pumplin flaxseed cereal with skim milk
B2-grilled chicken breast
S-tangerine
L-sandwich
S-Chobani
S-grapes
D-salmon and asparagus

Dessert-coffee

Exercise:  Hoping to run outside today....if the rain holds....if not, I'll be running indoors

Topic: RE: ZEAL
So true!  I guess I have an ongoing zeal because I just feel so darn good!  I truly do love the new lifestyle.  I do have to occasionally "rein" myself in with the eating of sweets....I can eat them, and I love them, and I will get to where I have something every day...and then I have to go cold turkey and cut them out!!

I'm in a "cutting them out" phase right now...and I feel better.  Now, if this weather will cooperate so I can get outside and run more......I do love running..........NEVER thought those words would come out of my mouth!!

Have a blessed day!

Good ole Dr. Sherer!  I just adore him!  He is one of the few out there that do not subscribe to the protein supplements....he said "you can get what you need from food".

I'm glad you aren't going to "starve" yourself!  This progression should be good for hitting the reset button in the brain!

You can do it!!  come play with us often and we'll get you through it!

Topic: ZEAL
I recently heard a message about Zeal..  The thing you are "zealous" about is what you will do; no matter what!  Zeal is a passion.  I remember in 2003 when I was doing everything I could to get this surgery. every day I was working towards it.  I would call the insurance company and the doctors office and I would research here and there.  I was on this board every opportunity.  I would pour over the success stories and just knew that someday I would be one.  I WAS ZEALOUS!  I had the tenacity of a bulldog!  I was fed up with being the FAT GIRL!  That is  all it really takes ... WE MUST BE PASSIONATE about this!  WE HAVE TO FIGHT for this!  You had a weight Gain?  OKAY get determined, lose it!  I truly thank the Lord for this tool.  I am determined to complete my goal over the course of the next 6 months.  It's not impossible and it's not a bit harder than it was 8 years ago.

Don't give up, don't give in!  BE ZEALOUS!!!!

My plan is two weeks @ 800 calories daily then 2 weeks at 1000 then 1200.  My reasoning is that the first month post-op I barely consumed 500 calories a day.  I even added a protein supplement to increase calories and when I returned Dr. Sherer told me to stop the supplement's, as I progressed out I would be able to consume more calories.  So I am currently trying to reset my mind as well as shrink my pouch.  The mind is more of my battle.  I see it therefore I want to eat it...lol.

Thank you Kim... I remember you and I knew you
would remember me because I was persistent and determined and probably got on a lot of you all nerves with the same old post. lol But it worked its
self out.  I never left OH I just started
reading and not posting.  I noticed it has
slowed down a lot and the usual group that was posting with you don't post anymore, however
I hope all is good and safe and again
thank you and all the rest for listening and
posting in my time of need.

You are off to a good start...but please don't leave your calories that low!  It isn't healthy, and it will work against your metabolism.  Please get up to 1,200-minimum.

Hang in there, and I know what you mean about Jelly Beans....one of my faves!!!  And here we are in Easter candy season!!!!!   UUUGGGGHHHH!
