I live in Michigan - apparently you came for the crappy weather portion of the week!
Still doin a workout video in the morning and now I am trying to add a 40 min walk in the evenings when it is nice out.....I like to put my headphones on and listen to smutty books on tape while I walk!
B: protein hot choc
S: 1/2 weight control oatmeal with flax
L: 1/2 of a half of a stuffed pepper - so I guess that's 1/4 of a whole pepper.....well never mind
S: 1/3 black bean burger with 1/3 slice of cheddar and mayo and ketchup mixed
D: might make some black bean balls and fresh salsa
S: sf hot choc from Bigby on my way to my massage.....oh man do I need it - my back went out yesterday and damn.

Topic: Thursday! Whatcha Eatin? R U Exercising?
Wow. What a whirlwind trip. I am tired and feel gross from eating too much and not exercising. It was rainy and cold in Michigan, so I couldn't run. I'll get out today and run finally.
Of course we also had all the food that people bring over when they are taking care of a family, and I did my share of eating it. So today I'll really get serious abou****ching what I'm eating and logging my food so I counteract the damage I may have done.
Eats today:
B1-Jimmy Dean Delight sandwich
B2-grilled chicken breast
L-lean cuisine
S-grapes
S-Chobani
D-rotissere chicken and veggies
Exercise: going for a run today!

And we are here for you! The first step is reaching out for help. No judgement-just support from me. Now, I may give you some tough love and call you out for not doing what you know you need to do, but I do it with love and understanding of where you are because I've been there!
Each day I post a daily "whatcha eating/ are you moving" post on this board. It helps me be accountable. Once I state in writing what I'll eat and the exercise I'll do, I feel responsible to the OH community to follow through.
Here's some stuff that might help:
1) Begin tracking everything you put into your mouth. You can do that here on OH in the Health Tracker. Myfitnesspal is also free and works on mobile devices.
2) Determine your RMR http://www.caloriesperhour.com/index_burn.php
3) Set your daily caloric level at your RMR - 500. This will set you up to lose 1 lb per week, which is the safest level to shoot for AND it will give you enough food so you don't feel deprived.
4) Make 100-120 grams of protein per day your goal. I eat a 6-7 oz chicken breast grilled every single day. That alone is 53 grams of protein, and it is real food so I feel full.
5) Eat 6-7 small meals each day. This will keep your blood sugar level and will keep you feeling full.
6) Exercise. Everyday. At least 30 minutes. If your heartrate is up and you are sweating, you are good.
7) Follow the rules of your surgery. Do not drink with meals and do not drink for at least 30 minutes afterward. Limit simple carbs and sugar, but don't completely eliminate them. If you do, you'll feel deprived, and we all know how well that has worked for us in the past.......
8) Come here for support. We are here for you.

Hands down.........Sherer! Just love him, and completely trust him. He did my RNY and then removed a couple lumps from my breast a year later. He is amazing.
Topic: Thursday! Headed to Michigan Tomorrow
First DH has the "cardiac episode" which turned out to not be heart attack or blockage, but something that can be treated with medicine, then yesterday his mother passed away. We were expecting it as she had advanced Alzheimer's. We are driving to Michigan tomorrow for the funeral. So I will be out of commission until the end of next week....just didn't want y'all to think I fell off the planet.
Oh, and I am officially on the calendar with my PS for a LBL on November 9th.......gulp.......scared to death, but so ready to stop having the gross hygene issues that this stomach skin cause....I really don't know how people with a large panni do it. Mine only hangs about 1 inch...doesn't even cover the pubic area....and the sweating is just disgusting....I feel for those that have a much bigger skin issue........God bless you!
I got out yesterday and had a nice long run/walk with my grand puppy, Doughnut. It was the first time in a long time I've taken him with me, and I really missed him! I got an hour of fresh air and running and I really needed it. Tonight/tomorrow morning I have to get us packed to travel....and it is still Winter in the UP of MI so now I have to unpack our Winter clothes to have stuff to pack for this trip.......nothing is ever easy. I am not really complaining.....BECAUSE I KNOWW IT COULD BE WORSE!
Eats today:
B1-ww english muffin with PB and a few bites of fresh pineapple
B2-grilled chicken breast
L-Chunky soup with lo fat Ritz and some collard greens
S-Chobani
S-grapes
D-red beans with ham and sausage
Exercise: I will try to squeeze in an arm weight workout when I get home
I am taking my workout clothes/running shoes with me so I can continue to exercise while I'm away-eating is always tricky up there.....they don't really eat much veggies and health food, so I'll have to take control of the kitchen to make sure I have what I need! I'll probably be back on next Friday with my daily posts! I'll miss y'all and I'll try to check in, but there is no Internet at DH's parent's house, so not sure if I can....
