Topic: RE: Way OT--can you freeze blue cheese?
Hi Kim,
This tip is going to cost you $1,861.00. LOL Sorry, I just could not resist. :O)
About adult beverages....I have tried and tried and tried to drink adult beverages, and I just cannot. They just make me have a sick feeling. Does not matter what or how little I drink. I just cannot do it. Black cherry kool-aid is walking on the wild side for me, LOL.

How to Freeze Blue Cheese

Aged, mold-laden blue cheese is versatile and flavor-enhancing. Blue cheese is perfect in salads, pasta dishes, breads, vegetables and even desserts. And though it doesn't seem as if cheese aged in a damp cave would take well to your freezer, blue cheese is easy to freeze. It freezes quite well, too, which means that you can have it on hand whenever you need it.
Things You'll Need:
- Knife
- Plastic wrap
- Freezer paper
- Heavy-duty freezer bags
Instructions:
1. Remove blue cheese from its original packaging.
2. Slice the blue cheese into half-pound pieces.
3. Wrap each piece tightly in plastic wrap.
4. Wrap each plastic-wrapped piece in freezer paper.
5. Place the wrapped pieces into heavy-duty freezer bags.
6. Label and date the bags.
7. Store the bags in your freezer at no higher than 0 degrees F. Blue cheese frozen properly will keep indefinitely, but for the best quality use it within six months.
Tips & Warnings
- Thaw blue cheese in your refrigerator. This typically takes two to three days.
- Blue cheese is best served at room temperature. Remove thawed blue cheese from your refrigerator about one hour before serving.
- Discard blue cheese if it tastes rancid, emits an odd odor or has mold that is not native to the manufacturing process.

I HATE blue cheese but i loved stuffed olives of different sorts. I also partake in adult beverages but im going to go with what my surgeon said and stop for a month and see if it makes any difference. if it does then i'll quit if it doesnt then i'll continue with my beer/wine consumption.
Sorry im no help to your question but i wouldnt see why you couldnt freeze it.

So this is probably the worst place to admit this and ask this question...but yall gotta love me, warts and all!
It is no secret that I live for my dirty martini on Friday evening. Yes, (gasp) I do partake in the adult beverages on Fridays and sometimes I'll even have another over the weekend!! (Hey, I run it off!!).
Anyhoo--I like to make blue cheese stuffed olives for my martini (remove the pimento and insert blue cheese). The problem is that blue cheese is expensive and the open container only lasts two weeks before the mold farm starts growing.....I've thrown away two containers now, barely used.
So I'm thinking can you freeze it????

Topic: RE: Crestwood and BCBS
Can you get someone from your benefits area at work to help with this? Mine was only 90% covered so I had to pay some--but I knew about it ahead of time....hang in there! We'll start a collection if we have to!!

Topic: Crestwood and BCBS
I was told when I first started this process that my insurance would pay 100%. So this afternoon, I get a call from Crestwood telling me that my part of this will be $1861.00 whi*****ludes a $500.00 deductible because, of course, the deductible starts over on January 1. I then call BCBS to find out what in the world is going on and why are they not paying 100% as I was told in the very beginning. I was told that "my benefits for 2011 have not loaded into the computer system yet" and I will have to call back later. Okay, what if my surgery had been on January 3rd? This is ridiculous. AND, I don't know about y'all but I don't have an extra $2,000.00 just laying around. Santa robbed me blind, LOL, and college tuition was paid yesterday, AND two of my children just "had" to have money for two mission trips. Good Grief!!
Anyway, if it ends up that I have to pay the entire $1861.00, Crestwood said I could pay $500.00 Monday and make payment arrangements for the rest. My husband who is normally very quiet said just cancel it. We will do it later. Oh My Lord, my blood pressure shot up sky high, I just know, LOL. I looked at him and I said very calmly....I do not care if we have to sell the house. I do not care if we have to sell the cars. I AM HAVING IT. He said...okay then. It is not THAT bad, we won't have to sell anything, just buckle down as my daddy used to say.

Hey there! Good to see you. The fact that we can get through the holiday with no gain is a victory! Once we all get back to eating right every day and moving, the losing will resume!
Good to see you--I've been following your blog--I posted that great article 51 Fastest Fat Burners on here yesterday--good info!

Trying to get back on track now that my schedule is back to normal! Having a lot of time off during the holidays is great, but not for my eating habits!
B - Protein Shakek
L - Chicken Noodle Soup Broth (I only like the broth, strange, huh?) and some Goldfish crackers
D - No idea.

It's been a while! The end of the year is always so busy for me. I get bogged down with work and projects. I hope you all are enjoying 2011 so far!
I'm ready to over the tempting holidays and go back to losing! I think a combination of a plateau and the holidays has gotten me a little down about my weight loss. It hasnt' gone anywhere since the end of October... But, it seems like I hit a plateau after each 25lbs or so I lose, so I'm thinking positively and hoping that a natural plateau is part of the problem. I haven't gained, so that is good another positive.
I'm hoping that everyone is having a great week so far!

Topic: Wow....busy morning
Hi everybody,
Well, the nurse from Dr. Facundus' office called and said my EKG from yesterday showed "mild abnormalities". She said Dr. Facundus would not be in the office until late this afternoon and if he recommended medical clearance from my primary care provider then it would be too late to get it done before surgery, and my surgery would have to be rescheduled. So.....I went ahead and went to my primary care provider this morning and had a physical exam and another EKG, and now I am cleared for surgery. I go tomorrow for my preop appointment with Dr. Facundus.
Whew.....now back to work.
