Yes, it is better than nothing, and the elliptical is hard!  Even today I can only stay on the thing for 30 minutes before I'm pooped.

When I make spaghetti, I use that brand in the purple box (can't remember the name) it is supposed to be a high fiber "white" pasta.  My DH can't tell the difference from the "bad" pasta.

I also use the 90% lean ground beef in the sauce and I use 1.5 lbs to 1 jar of sauce.  When I measure my sauce for my bowl, it is full of meat, not much liquid.

Keep up the great work!

IM glad you posted your measurements for spaghetti i cook my noodles and meat sauce separate but i always wondered how much was too much lol or what ratio of sauce to pasta i like lots of sauce anyways so now i have an idea. J LOVES spaghetti so we have it atleast once a week when im on a cooking kick.

last night i had 3 bonesless buffalo wings. It was pouring down rain and i didnt want to go in the grocery store so i raided the freezer and found some schwans stuff. i also had some cottage cheese and peaches before bed. i was hungry last night also. i did work-out so i dont know if that had something to do with it.

On to foods for today
B-1/2c cottage cheese w/ nsa peaches and 1/2 bagel thin w/ a tiny bit of peanut butter.
L-szechuan chicken w/ a few baby corns and few bites of rice
S-pineapple orange protein shake (if needed)
D-tonight i have to go grocery shopping. i'll pick up a rotisserie chicken to have when we get home. w/ salad.

edit to add exercise. i'll do 10 minutes on the elliptical. thats all i managed last night. guess i have to work my way back up im going to do 10 minutes all week and bump up each week. figure thats better than sitting on my behind doing nothing!

Wow!  1st day I haven't had some part of my body sore from exercise in such a long time!  However, I was still very tired this morning--not sure why.  It has been a crazy week for me food-wise.  I've been hungry--alot.  I'm trying to increase my protein to help, but sometimes I just get this way-- I suspect it is from coming off the holiday carbs.

Food today:
B-Jimmy Dean D-Lights bagel breakfast sandwich
S-Kashi bar
L-Chunky chicken and sausage gumbo and 5 crackers
S-pineapple and Chobani yogurt
D-pasta and meat sauce (1/4 cup pasta, 1/2 c sauce)

Dessert-hot chocolate maybe?

Exercise:
Tonight is P90X arms and shoulders, then ab ripper X

Everyone have a great day!

Hilary,

I am a weigh every day type person too.  I can't help it.  I know we aren't supposed to do that but if I am 1 or 2 lbs higher one morning, I am much more apt to watch what I eat that day to make sure it comes off the next morning......keeps it from sneaking up on me!

I think you are doing great.
