The first step is the hardest, but it will begin the process of freeing us.  I do admit that I am powerless over food and other things, but through Christ, I have the strength to walk away.

Thanks for posting the steps Louise.  I do CR, but AA and CR are very close.   My son's life was saved because someone introduced him to AA.  Love you!

Thanks to ever one for the emails asking where I was.  I have been sick and was dx with pnuemonia a couple of weeks ago and did not get on the computer much.  You really can't type and cough ever breath you take.

For today I am going to start back with the very first step/
Step 1  We admitted we were powerless over  ?  that our lives had become unmanageable.
For most of us it is food and for some us we have transferred that addiction over to a new one.  I for myself have been working on the new one and boy is it hard.  I still go into that store and will pick up that item 10 times wanting it, but guess what I have started putting it back down after the 10 times and walking out.  It feels wonderful.

Have a good day and see you tomorrow.   Got to get ready for some more snow and maybe some ice.

S-roasted chicken (a few ounces)
L-more roasted chicken and green beans
S-Chobani peach yogurt and some fresh pineapple
D-baked chicken and veggies

Dessert-s/f hot chocolate

Everyone have a great weekend!

Girl!  Sleep in the lobby of the hospital!  (and get your surgeon to also!!)  No matter what, you are in the home stretch now--hang in there.  My insurance covered 90% and I had to pay the difference....you can do a payment plan if you have to--you've worked so hard and waited so long....ALMOST THERE!!

I tried to call you back the other day--let me know if you need anything...I'll be thinking about you all weekend!!

Topic: Surgery may be canceled if we get snow and ice as predicted
Good morning everybody,

I went for my preop appointment yesterday.  Everything is a go as long as the weather cooperates.  There is a 70% chance of snow/ice beginning Sunday continuing through Tuesday, supposedly a possibility of four to eight inches.  If that happens, more than likely my surgery will be canceled.  I guess we will just have to wait and see.

I also found out that when I started this process, my insurance covered 100%.  Well, they changed our plan in September, so now my insurance covers 80%.  (Big sigh!!)  I am just thankful it covers it at all because so many people who need WLS cannot get it because of financial reasons.

I had lost one more pound, so down 9 so far.

I hope everyone has a great day,

Kim
