Angi I am also one of Dr Freemans patients. I had surgery over 7 years ago. You need to come to our next support group meeting which will be on January 18 at 6PM at his office. We will have a person from OptiSource Vitamins there to explain their vitamins and hopefully to hand out some samples. I take them ever day, they are chewable and best of all taste good. Let me know if you need any further info on the support group. Looking forward to seeing you.

Gwen look for tomorrow. You do not have to be an alcholic to use these steps. We are all a food addict of some fashion or we would not have been where we were.

Thanks Carmen. I am posting from the Al-Anon book, we do have the other book but they are both so close. We have been involved in the program for 20 years and it does work if we follow the steps. So glad that some one told your son about AA, there is people from all walks of life from the very rich to the very poor who walk the walk ever day.

Gwen, I agree with you 100%. These need to be repeated and repeated over and over again. That is the only way we can remember and keep them fresh in our memory. If my husband had not had AA and I, Al-anon, along with our high power, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we would not be together today. I am very thankful for second chances and given the opportunity to live, love and grow in the Lord. Without Him, we are nothing. With Him, All things are POSSIBLE. Can I get an AMEN??? No one is perfect, and we are not expected to be, because there is only one perfect ONE.

I am so happy for you. It has been a great experience for me. I had gastric bypass in September. I am so glad I did it. I got my blood work back yesterday and all my numbers are normal for the first time in 15 years. Good luck Pattie

I don't post often but I have been here for a while. I hope to be able to come and ask more and will definatey need more assistance. I wanted to let everyone know I finally have a surgery date.. February 2nd. I am excited and nervous all at the same time and I am sure it will become more so as the time gets nearer.

Just getting started after 8 long years of research I am looking forward to actually getting started. It's about getting my life back! I know this is a lifestyle change forever, but the life I'm living now, even though I try to be happy, isn't what it should be. This is the tool that will allow me to start Truly living!

And i'm contemplating selling them! Several months ago I purchased a vacation package to a resort in Bora Bora. Starting in late June, 5 nights in a beautiful, mountain view, over the water bungalow. If anyone knows someone who might be interested in getting a deal on a trip like this, please let me know. It would be a great honeymoon or anniversary trip. I bought it as a package deal so I'm gonna try to sell it instead of cancelling and try to save a little. (The cancelling fee is ridiculous) Unfortunately air travel is not included because apparently airline tickets are not transferable.
anyhoo....if anyone is interested in learning more about it or know someone who is...please let me know and I can send all the info.

Thanks for posting the steps Louise. I do CR, but AA and CR are very close. My son's life was saved because someone introduced him to AA. Love you! I have seen wondrous things come out of AA and Al-Anon. I am the adult child of an alcoholic Mother and Father. I have NEVER touched alcohol, drugs or tobacco yet I became a food addict.
