What was cool about this group is that there were people that had the surgery done years ago...but they still go and encourage or give advise to others.

Hilary,
Thank you so much. I just cannot take this chocolate anymore. I have used it twice, and it just makes me feel so sick. Yuck!
Again, thank you,
Kim

it really is unflavored. GNC also carries a unflavored protein that i found i like better. GNC also will let you try it and if you dont like it you can bring it back (ask them about this to make sure they still do it)
Topic: Unjury protein question
Hi everybody,
Is the unflavored Unjury protein really unflavored? The chocolate is just too sweet. It makes me feel sick.
Thanks,
Kim

I never attended a support group meeting and i have always regretted that decision. I am glad that you went and loved it and will continue to go, i think its key to success in this journey. I find my support here and it helps but i honestly wish i had joined a support group long before.
Topic: RE: <Soft Diet>
I think everyone probably has a different idea on breaking the food addiction but I made it through my 2 week "diet" before my surgery by concentrating on the end result. I ate cottage cheese, sugar free pudding, string cheese, broth from all kinds of soup and drank lots and lots to keep the stomach full of low or no calorie stuff. Find something to occupy your minds and your hands. Read if you enjoy that or crochet or knit or putting together puzzles. Just anything to keep your mind engaged and not thinking about food. Stay away from activities that you routinely do while you eat.
Hopefully this helps you in some way. There's lots of people on here that have been at it a lot longer than I have and I'm sure you'll get lots of good suggestions. Hang in there and keep that appointment!

Topic: <Soft Diet>
Hi all, I am hoping someone can explain soft diet to me and how to get through this two week food journal. It is a requirement to be schedule for surgery, and honestly I have tried but I am hungry no matter what because it is not enough food. What should I eat? How do I break the food addiction? I have canceled my appointment so I can get this right. Someone please help…

Love your new profile pic!!
Yesterday was rough eating wise for me. For some reason I'm not having any urge to eat so when I do a couple of bites and I'm done.
B - Muscle Milk Light
L - Muscle Milk Light
S - 4 Chicken Nuggets
Lots of low cal gatorade though.
Your hike sounds fun, hopefully it's clearer in B'ham than down here.
