I was never a protein shake person but I do remember trying one that  was "ok".  I called the 800 # from the website and they sent me free samples when I told them I was a gastric bypass patient.  Not sure if they still do this or not......

May want to check out  www.revivalsoy.com

They have WONDERFUL protein "chips" for when you get farther out!

Hi Kim,

Don't give up too quickly on the chocolate unjury.  You can tone the sweetness down by adding flaborings to it.  I used to add almond extract and lots of ice to make a milkshake.  It toned the sweetness down in my opinion.

Also, if you like coffee, you can add some to your coffee...I personally don't like coffee so I haven't tried this but others have liked it.

Also try half a scoop of chocolate andhalf a scoop of the unflavored.  That definitely cut the sweetness.  There is someone who used to post all the time who had many protein drink recipes.  Her name on OH is Protein Princess.  I bet her recipes are posted there.

I haven't used protein in a long time, but when I did, it was unjury.  Theirs worked better for me because I am lactose intolerant and the others with whey affected me horribly.  Good luck with whatver choise you make.  You can also buy samples of Unjury.  They have a chicken broth one that is good if you don't want sweet.  I hope I've been some help.

You're doing great!  I haven't been on here
much
lately, but lurk every once in a whle just to check upon everyone!  Keep on keeping on!!!

Christ's peace,

coming up next month.  Kyle and I want to re-new our vows in church with my childhood Pastor.  We eloped when we got married 25 years ago and got married on the beaches of Panama City Beach, Florida.  Our lives have changed drastically since those days and we want to re-new our vows in church.  I have a lovely formal champagne colored dress I wore in our daughter Holly's wedding.  It's gorgeous and I would love the chance to wear it again.  We don't want a lot of people, just immediate family and maybe a few church members that might want to come.  We want to do it on a Sunday afternoon between church services and maybe have a "snak and yak" after church that night.  We have chosen "I will be here" by Steven Curtis Chapman to be played as I walk down the isle, The Lord's Prayer, to be played or sung when we take communion and possibly......GROW OLD WITH YOU, by Adam Sandler at the very end as we walk out together.  Not sure of that last one, but it's just a thought.  Any feedback appreciated.  There will be no decorating, no flowers unless I carry a single rose with ribbon streamers.  It's going to be very very simple.  I will order a regular round white cake from Publix and get a silver 25th to go on top or something of that nature.  This is something Kyle and I are working on together and we're so excited.  Holly and Beau just got a wonderful new camera and Beau will take pictures.  Like I said, it's going to be super simple and just for US!  Any advice would be appreciated.  If you have any negativity to share, please do so privately.
