Awww..thanks!! You really flatter me! The knee is coming along slowly, but at least I am making progress and that's the main thing. THe surgeon seems to be OK with things at this point. I didn't realize just how bad mine was til I had it fixed!
I just started a new job today so I will have to slow my PT down to 2 days a week instead of 3...it's hard to stay motivated at home..I hate exercise...LOL.

Hello Neighbor...I live in Butler, Al and have had the Realize band for a year and half now. I went to the Infirmary Hosp. to have my surgery and have had wonderful success so far. I also do not remember if the doctor said there was a weight limit on the surgery. I do remember seeing a lot of different sized people there and they were having surgery. Let us know what the doctor says and May God Bless you and watch over you and help you to become healthy again. We are on your side. Best Wishes. Farmgirl58

Yep--we all had that feeling. It will be fine, and make sure you do exactly what they tell you do and everything will be great.
You are in for the most amazing journey!

The weekend was not long enough! Today I'm traveling to Norcross, but I'll have my computer so I'll do the daily post.
Food today:
B-Jimmy Dean D-lights breakfast bagel
S-Kashi bar
L-grapes, Chunky soup and crackers
S-Chobani mango yogurt
D-not sure--traveling with my Korean co-worker so I'm sure we'll eat Korean tonight!
Probably won't do much exercise tonight....I'll do an ab workout in my room.
Everyone have a great day and enjoy this Spring-like weather!

Hello Sunshine!!!
You are feeling perfectly normal for it being two days before your surgery. Pre surgery jitters...did I have them...yes ma'm and if everyone else who was in your shoes at one time were responding would say the same.
You are beginning one of the most exciting times of your life. You will do great...just follow your doctor's instructions, drink, drink, drink and walk, walk, walk! You will not be truly hungry after your surgery. You will probably experience head hunger...just remember, that is all it is. Get in touch with your body and how it feels to really have true hunger. When you are on clear liquids make sure you have broth. I don't care for chicken broth so I would drain chicken noodle soup and drink the broth. It tasted much better. You can do that with any campbells soup you like. My DH or son would eat the noodles!! The taste of 'real' food such as the soup liquid helped me with head hunger. Commercials drove me crazy and you will probably be watching tv during your recovery period...if one bothers you, get up and WALK!! Amazingly a lot of people watched the food network during their recovery, I DID NOT. Food is the last thing you want to think about. You will have so much energy pretty soon that you won't think about it. You will have to remind yourself to eat.
Hang in there and you will do just fine. Be sure to post or have someone post for you when your surgery is successfully over...it will be successful and so will you!!

First of all you will be fine, you have the best surgeon in the world along with the worlds best PA/SA Tim. Being nervous is very understandable, I was a total basket case the week of my surgery. You will abide by the new lifestyle of eating, if you do not, it will come back up or either make you wish you had followed the rules. I had my surgery over 7 1/2 years and tonight for supper I only had 1 chicken tender. Just read the manual they give you and follow it to a T.

Tuesday, 2/15 is my surgery. I am excited and nervous. I have become more anxious today after the liquids only and knowing that day after tomorrow is the big day. Did any of you have "pre surgery" jitters? I am afraid of the surgery as much as I am afraid that I won't be able to abide by the new lifestyle/way of eating. Please share.
