Topic: 4 Rules

I found these 4 rules for successfule weight loss when I looking up another topic which I will post later.  With some of our new patients asking some serious questions recently I have been researching and reading.
Here are the 4 rules:
1 Eat protein only at mealtime. 1 or 2 meals/day.  Veggies only after you get your protein in.  Need to get in 60 to 75 grams of protein ever day.
2 Never snack between meals.
3 Drink plenty of water.  At least 64 oz and up/day.
4 Exercise 20 to 30 minutes ever day.
Hope that these will help some of you.  I know that ever one is not going to agree with these rules but these are the ones that we hear from all the doctors when I have attended some conferences. .

Topic: MONDAY!! It's cold again! Whatcha Eatin? Movin??
UGGGH.  I'm so tired of the cold.  Went running yesterday at 1:30 in the afternoon and it was on 45 degrees...and cloudy....and windy.....yuck.  I'm so ready to put the winter clothes away--HURRY UP SPRING!  I cooked my own take on chicken tetrazinni last night....it turned out pretty good....the general concensus was they'd all eat it again!

Today's eats:

B-Jimmy Dean D-light breakfast sandwich
S-1/2 of a ham/cheese roll up on italian flat out (left overs from lunch yesterday)
L-Lean Cuisine Steak tips portabella, banana
S-Chobani cherry yogurt
D-salmon and veggies

Dessert--Lo Fat Boy ice cream sandwich

Workout tonight:  I'm hoping my new P90X plus DVDs show up and I'll do one of them....if not, then I guess I'll do the weight machine.

Have a great day!

Topic: Dr. Crystal Schlosser-Twynham?????
Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has had surgery performed by Dr. Twynham.  I would like to know - what type of surgery - if you had any complications - how you were treated during and after surgery - do you have any complaints or regrets?  I here she is moving to TN and I would like to hear the patients point of views.  Please feel free to pm me if you would like - all is confidential.

Peace & Love,
GIA!

PS - She has worked with Dr. Henry Buchwald in the past.

I agree with the others--do not compare your journey to any one else.  If your surgeon thinks you are doing okay then you are fine.

Aftercare isn't very good with many surgeons....their job is to change your insides---after that you are responsible for ensuring success.  Read as much as you can and follow the guidelines from your nutritionist.

As far as a drink for your birthday, you could probably try a glass of wine--I mixed some red wine with sugar free cranberry juice at about 3 months out--don't overdo it though because the alcohol will hit you much quicker!

Enjoy your journey and keep up the good work!
