Crestwood in Huntsville has a support group also that meets once a month
I attended the briefing with my sister in law and it was as dry and non energetic as paint drying convention. The surgeon covered the three surgeries with less than excitement and he fail to give the VSG high billing, so you know he gave the ByPass the higher mark....the Lap band was even mentioned..
I sure hope the individuals get to hear from others and get more information about the life saving, changing journey! For me it was OMG what's wrong with this briefing and these guys are not enjoying this information!
surley someone needs to fix this centers briefing!
Thank you Louise!! I attended my first one last night..thank you again!
There is several support groups in the Birmingham area. Ann Couch does a support group at Trinity Hospital and Stefanie Dutton has a support group at Princeton. If you call the hospital and ask for they should be able to give you times and days they meet. There could more but at the moment that is the only 2 that I know of.
I am currently 1 year post-op from the Sleeve and in desperate need of a support group. I need that added support because I feel like I'm starting to go down the wrong path with my eating habits again. Thanks, Jessica
I just moved to the Florence area, and I am looking for a Weight Loss Surgery Support group that meets regularly. Does anyone know of any in the area, and how I can find out information about when, and where they meet.
2013: 20 Funny New Year's Resolutions
When it comes to New Year's resolutions, our family members and friends can get quite creative and even funny with what they resolve to do in the New Year. Here a few good ones I have heard along the way...Oh, and a few of my own!
1. I resolve to stop procrastinating about procrastinating!
2. I will stop sending Facebook messages and emails to my loved ones when they are in the same room as I am!
3. I will use my treadmill for something other than a place to hang my jacket.
4. I will not sit at the kitchen table in my PJ's all day. Instead, I will move my computer to my bedroom.
5. I vow to never take a laxative and a sleeping pill on the same night!
