Topic: Monday! Whatcha Eatin? R U Moving?
I hope you all had a great Mother's Day. I sure did--my friend Diane took us out for my birthday dinner (it was May 1st) and my DD got me some rubber gym flooring for my home gym so I put that down last night. Yes, I'm officially an exercise junkie....I asked for that!! It is really cool and will make the floor much easier on these arthritic knees! Tomorrow is my 2 year follow up with my surgeon....is it normal that you feel "fatter" the day before that appointment!!??? I'm sure it is all in my head!
Today's eats:
B1-Jimmy Dean D Lights bagel sandwich
B2-3 oz grilled chicken
L-Lean Cuisine spaghetti and meat sauce, cantaloupe
S-Chobani banana strawberry
D-salmon and veggies
Desser****ermelon!! Got some amazing watermelon and cantaloupe at Publix yesterday
Exercise: I really struggled this morning to decide what I would do for exercise tonight as everything hurts right now. I did yoga Saturday so my core and back muscles are sore, then ran yesterday so my legs are sore. I decided I'll do P90X plyometrics.....haven't done it in a while and it is mostly cardio.....
We went to Eoline Saturday and brought 2 big pans of baked spaghetti and a big pan of nanner pudding. We met the sweetest people at the Baptist church there. They have much devastation to deal with and need our prayers. We then rode to Tuscaloosa to see my son's rental house. Thank God he was at home with me when the tornado hit--his neighborhood looks like a bomb went off. This destruction is so much worse that what I saw right after Katrina. It is amazing the death toll is so low. Praise the Lord for all the blessings we have and for sparing so many lives. I continue to pray for those that lost a loved one or their home/car.

I second that! Write a book--I'll put in on my Kindle! So sorry about the loss of things, but the most important--your lives were spared! You can always get more "stuff".
I'm mad about this person putting your dog in danger! Please make the police take care of the problem.
Hugs--Kim

Lord Jesus was with Miss Mary. I still say Erma Bombeck has nothing on you. You should write a book. It would be a hit. Your life has never been dull.
Miss Mary, I know life has been full or trying times for you and humor has gotten you through it but all joking aside you are without a doubt a walking angel on this earth

Hi Kim,
It has been forever since I have been on here. I lost heart for a while due to ups and downs on getting insurance that would cover it, then husband lost job, new jobs insurnace don't cover it, and so on and so on. Due to a great tax return and a small loan I was just approved for this week, I am finally going to get to move forward. I am hoping within the next month or two.
Wanted to get back to reading the posts on here!
Congrats on your surgery and your successful weight loss!

The tornado last week wiped the house I was living in off the map but we weren't hurt. Most know that I live with a elderly lady. She is 82 and a wonderful person. We were really blessed. I saw the twister approaching and got her in the hall and covered with a mattress. The whole roof, ceiling and all was tore off and the whole front of the house was gone. The tornado picked us up about 6 inches and I pressed as hard as I could with my feet on one side and my shoulder on the other. It dropped us back down on a bed of glass. Her son in law came to the front of the house and asked if we were alright. I said yes and he went to check on others. The whole neighborhood is gone. I was barefoot of course but managed to find some shoes and got Mrs. C up and to a chair in what used to be a den. Got her shoes on and took her to the car and sat her down then went back into the house and started hunting pictures. I loaded her car up with pictures and clothes. She lost everything but she is doing great. We stayed the first 8 nights with my son and daughter in law. We got power on at my house around noon yesterday. So I've been busy trying to get her room fixed up. She has her own bedroom, bathroom and walk in closet. I've lived with her for two years now she can live with me. Mrs. C did not have so much as a scratch on her. I had a small nick on my leg, not even large enough for a bandaid. I cracked a couple ribs to but that is nothing new for me. Today was the first day they haven't really bothered me. So I'm doing great.
We had a very eventful first night.at my house. About 6-8 weeks ago a man down the road put his pitbull inside my fence with my bull masfitt. Moose had some pretty severe bites. He did it again last night. I had to call the police and file a report. I've waited all day for the animal control officer to arrive but of course that didn't happen so it will probably be Monday before anything is done. Moose wasn't hurt as bad this time. But he was up all night barking. I was afraid the man would come back and bring his dog again. With me being deaf I might not here it until it was to late. So I was up all night guarding the guard dog. Applying for a gun Monday, that will take care of that problem.
Thanks to everyone who has held us in your prayers. God has been very good to us. Love, Miss Mary

I usually just check in here now and then and wanted to see how everybody fared in the storm as well. I have been working disaster relief in Limestone County since the storm**** I'm sorry everybody is not informed of the help being offered by the churches in the Athens/Limestone area, but here are just a few:
First Baptist Church, Tanner, Hwy 31 - disaster relief supplies of ALL types available including food, water, clothing for all, baby supplies, cleaning supplies, first aid, school supplies, toiletries
Clements Baptist Church - hot showers
First Baptist Church of Athens - disaster relief supplies much like Tanner - and Red Cross designated shelter
Central Church of Christ, 320 Highway 31 N (just north of Athens high School). Tornado victims can ge****er, food, hygiene kits, and paper towels, etc
Lindsay Lane Baptist Church serving hot meals 12-2 and 5-7
Capshaw Baptist (East Limestone) is a response Station for the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Team. Teams are available for damage repair. Also receive & distribute donations of diapers, wipes, other baby essentials as well as non-perishable food
In addition to this, I know HUNDREDS of church members who have been working to exhaustion, clearing debris, helping find personal effects and packing things up.

Topic: Thursday! Whatcha Eatin? R U Exercising?
I hope everyone is doing well. I'm not enjoying this cold weather--but that will change soon enough...looks like some dry, warm, sunny days are ahead.
Last night I had to force myself to get in that basement and do my P90X....but I did it! I did the arms and shoulders and the ab workout. I begrudgingly did it, BUT I DID IT. I am proud that I made myself do what I committed to do.
Today's Eats:
B1-1/2 c cottage chs with NSA peaches and 1/2 ww eng muffin
B2-3 oz roasted chicken
S-2 pretzel sticks and a slim jim
L-Lean Cuisine
S-banana
D-not sure--going to a party
no exercise today for me--will run Saturday morning
