That one legged walking will limit the trips you can make to the kitchen!
Walmart has these great sunvisors that are velcro--the visor part is straw, and they make them with the bands in several different colors--I have a few of 'em in the backseat so I can always put one on regardless of how my hair is styled...the velcro makes it very easy.
They also have a terry cloth sweat pad in the front.....it is velcro too so you can wa****I actually throw the whole visor in the wash machine and hang to dry.
Glad you are getting better!

As of yesterday I was able to get most of the sutures out of my foot. All on the ball and all of the ones on the top, I still have a few between the second and third toe. It has been something else walking, lets just say very very very uncomfortable and I will start therapy Thursday.
B 1 whole wheat pancake ready made and 3 slices of bacon
L McDonalds small hamburger minus most of the bread and no condiments
D 1/2 grilled chicken breast and a few roasted potatoes and a bread stick
Got in all my fluids and my vitamins.
Kim like you when I went to McDonalds I dropped the top and loved the sun and wind. I have got to find me a hat so that I don't blister my scalp. I am loving my MR2 Spyder. The best thing I have ever bought.
And while I have been laid up I have dropped several pounds. It is hard hard work walking on a walker with one leg.

Topic: RE: panniculectomy
Only you can decide what is best for your body along this journey! If this will help you medically/physically/emotionally--then you go for it! I'm too chicken for plastics at this point (and I'm too cheap to part with my $)!!
I wish you a speedy recovery!

Topic: RE: panniculectomy
Hi everyone,
I am scheduled to have a panniculectomy ( for medical/functional reasons) I am mid-journey. I have lost 115lbs and am at 290 right now. I am wondering if anyone has any advice or cautions. My surgoen states I am "too heavy" in his opinion and wants me down another 100. I cant live with this, I have a grade 3 or 4 right now. Its terrible affects my daily life and I want it gone. He estimates 15 plus pounds to be peeled off from the surgery and that I have a 50% chance of a complication being Seroma/Wound separation or infection. Once I get past a ttwo week mark he states I should be in the clear. To me, this is an acceptable risk. He said Death isnt a concern but the concern is more of inconvenience. My family doesnt really understand to I am turning to my extended family of WLS friends. I had vertical sleeve gastrectomy 2/10 at 404 lbs. Im not doing this for maximum aesthetics. Its medically necessary for me but is still a "choice" Im scheduled for 5/23 unless I chicken out.
Any thoughts?
I will be here to support you debbie50 the procedure itself isnt bad, the pain I hear is managable.

It is getting hot outside!! I had the top down today, May 10th and it was 92 degrees at 11:30! Yikes! Had my 2 year follow up today. Weight was good, everything went well--waiting on lab results. My doctor warned that since I eat 6 or 7 times a day to be careful to not overdo it with calories and make sure I'm eating lots of protein....I assured him that is what I'm doing and I'm staying between 1,500 and 1,800 calories and he was okay with that.
Today's eats:

S-3 oz grilled chicken
L-salad and 2 slices of supreme pizza
S-Chobani strawberry banana
D-steak and 1/2 cup corn
Desser****ermelon
Exercise: Tonight I'll go run 4 miles.
