i had a different surgeon and procedure, but this hospital has a great support group and bariatric coordinator.
There is 2 hospital that I know that have support groups and great surgeons. Call Trinity Hospital and ask to speak with Ann Couch. The other hospital is Princeton and Stefanie Dutton is the support group person.
Contrary to what RMC told you they do have all of Dr. Freeman's records. When he closed his office at RMC the records were all retained by RMC. If they tell you they don't have them then they are not telling the truth. Now the reason I know this as I went to medical records and signed a release stating that I wanted ever note, lab report and ever piece of paper in my chart sent to Dr. Freeman new office. When he got sick and closed back in the spring I got my old chart from his office that was sent by RMC. Go to your doctor and sign a release an ask that they fax the request to medical records and where it says what records put in that space the whole chart. If I can help you please email me at [email protected]. I very seldom ever come on OH but thought I would tonight. Louise
Hoping someone can give me information on the records for patients of Dr. Freeman. I am having complications and have to see a new surgeon. I was able to get my operative notes from my RNY, internal hernia repair and my adhesion removal/endometriosis ablation at the hospital but since he was not part of RMC during my time as his patient they do not have his office notes. Any information is greatly appreciated!
If you had the tummy tuck with muscle repair, which my PS called an "extended abdominoplasty" (I think), then the arm lift should be a breeze for you. That is one I would not go thru again I dont believe..lol. My next will be an LBL,, which will make my 3rd.
Good Luck!
Hello Everyone! I am 7 years out & planning my 3rd & final round of plastic surgery. I am going to have a mini arm lift and mini butt lift. Has anyone else had the mini arm lift? Trying to see what I am in-store for!!! Thanks in advance! ~Holli

I live in Northern Virginia and I am about to relocate to Birmingham Alabama. I am originally from Mobile so I am so excited to get back "home" after 16 years. I had RNY almost 4 years ago. Lost over 130lbs. Feel great. Still at goal weight. I have had a couple of minor complications. Just had surgery in September for an internal hernia. While I can still see my Doctor here in Virginia once a year for labs and follow up, I think it would be a great idea to have a local doctor to be able to go to incase of any more complications or bypass related emergencies. I would like it to definitely be a Bariatric Center of Excellence. I would also like to know of any support groups in the area. I love our support group here. I think they are just great, and I would like to join one in Birmingham.
Thanks y'all

ugh, well i'm almost two years out. Seems like only went from 253 lbs down to my lowest weight which was 165 after surgery.
I used to weigh 115 before taking steriods for two years not being able to breathe. I just weighed my self and I am 190!! WTH.
I still can only eat 1 cup of food at a time. I eat VERY healthy, seriously no time to exercise though. I still use Isopure protein drinks, usually one a day, sometimes a protein bar a day, cheese, hb egg, some tuna or chix salad. piece of fruit or two a day, veggies usually in soup with crackers. Whats up with this? SUCKS. I just noticed tummy and butt starting to protrode again. YIKES
Dr. Andrew Dewitt is another option. He did my bypass in 2005. Great doctor!
My surgeon is Dr. Miles at St. Vincent's East. He and Dr. Schmitt are partners. I loved it. I had my surgery 11/28/2012 and have lost 141 lbs so far. You will be successful as long as you stick it out! My personal opinion is Dr. Miles, he's so caring and real! Keep in mind you have to trust our surgeon! You can come to the Support Group meetings they are held every third Saturday of the month, sometimes Dr. Miles does presentations and you can always ask him question after his seminars.
