Dr. Facundus has relocated out of state. For the last nine years I have been his partner at Alabama Surgical Associates, and I have purchased his share of the practice. Understanding that bariatric patients need long-term follow-up with a bariatric surgeon, I have agreed to continue follow-up care for his patients. If you are a patient of Dr. Facundus and would like to continue follow-up care with our office, please call our office at 256-880-1977 to schedule your appointment.
K. Todd Foreman, M.D., F.A.C.S. Alabama Surgical Associates, PC (256) 880-1977
Dr. Foreman,
You state that bariatric patients need long-term follow-up with a bariatric surgeon, but you are only taking Dr. Facundus' patients. Other people have lost their doctor for one reason or another. They also need long-term care, but can't seem to find a doctor willing to accept them as patients.
Sincerely,
D

As a solo surgeon I have limited capacity to take on other surgeons' patients without compromising my ability to provide the appropriate level of care to my own patients. Since Dr. Facundus was a member of Alabama Surgical Associates, his patients were already patients of the practice. At this time I just don't have the ability to add patients from other practices.
