Alabama Support Groups

I am scheduled to have VSG on December 8 and since my insurance is not accepted here in Birmingham, I am having my surgery in Mobile. I would like to attend the support group here since it would be crazy to make trips to Mobile every month. So I wanted to know where you guys are going and if it would make a difference if I had my surgery done elsewhere. Thanks,

I can't help you with your question as I had my surgery in KY and I don't go to support groups here.  I am near Montgomery.

Just wanted to congratulate you on your decision to have WLS!  It is an amazing journey.

Call Princeton and ask for Stefanie Dutton.  She does a support group.  I will try and find out some more for you in the Birmingham area and post them here.  You can attend any local support group.   We have one here in Anniston if you would like to come over here.  You are more than welcome.

We are in the RMC Physcians Building suite 102. Right across the street from the hospital.  We will not have a meeting until the third Tuesday of January.  In December we do a Christmas dinner and it was this past Saturday.  I usually  post the meeting here and on facebook. Be on the look out the middle of January.  We would love to have you.  If I can help you any way feel free to ask.
