This burns me up
Tammy I'm on Medicaid and I found 2 surgeons here in Alabama who accept it. They are both in Mobile and if you contact Medicaid you can see about getting a ride to the hospital. If you want their info please let me know. I know your issue all to well....I was suppose to have surgery over 10 years ago and now finally we have a few surgeons here that accept our insurance. Hope this helps!
This may not be what you want to hear but this is my "two CENTS" I am an employee of the health care industry. I work for a surgeon and the biggest issue we have is a problem with government insurance (medicaid/medicare). The government does not pay the actual charge they pay what "they" deem as reasonable. Therefore, a doctor could provide you with that $14,000.00 surgery and only receive $125.00 after everyone in the industry receives their cut. Hospital, radiology, surgery staff, floor nurse, lab tech's, housekeeping, dietary, administration, and all the ancillary dept's involved. Those "DOCTOR'S" have to make a living and pay taxes in order to provide SSI/Medicaid/Medicare the funds they need to provide "disabled" individuals with healthcare. Call your congressman, and Senator's and tell them to pay the actual costs. It's not the DOCTOR!

Please don't feel the need to detail your medical issues that have you on disability. I myself, have Epilepsy and Diabetes and I work 40-60 hours EVERY WEEK of my life.

wow ty ill not bore you with my health issues but i did not ask for my health problems that i had that does not allow me to hold down a 40 hour a weej job and causes me not to to be able to ride or drive far,im very happy for you and glad you are able to do all you do,im glad you had the surgery ,i lived on a modest income and ask no one for help if i can not purchase what i need i do without and i did work 24 years befor my disabilty and feel i paid in what i get which is very little on that note ty for your input have a blessed day
So...you ignored everything I said other than the diability remarks? I never even said the word "bore" you may want to look inside and see where that came from. As for feeling you worked "24 years" and paid in what you get; nope, I don't buy into that. You may have pain and have difficulty riding in a car but there are jobs that can be done. Home based jobs, like transcription, telemarketing. You obviously have computer skills. Marketable skills. Since you worked 24 years you deserve the next 24 receiving disability. Not hardly! I have put in 26 at this point and God WILLING I will put in another 20. By that time I hope to have saved enough for retirement. Social Security will be gone because so many of our people who are still at a working age are looking for disbility. YEP! I SAID IT! THERE IT IS! Now YOU HAVE A BLESSED DAY AS WELL!
