The lap-band is the WORST possible choice out of the four available Weight Loss Surgeries.

Personally I am a 10 year successful VBG'er.  I know of at least 16 different weight loss surgeries

Hi. I am considering Dr.Pennington for the Gastric Sleeve, but am aware that he only uses Trinity Hospital. I've heard that he was excellent. However, I've heard not so good things about Trinity. Can you tell me how your experience was at Trinity Hospital? Was it clean? Were nurses ready available?

Dr. Freeman and Tim are the best in my opinion.  I had my surgery there with them on Feb. 2, 2011.  I wouldn't change a thing.   They are very nice and very good at what they do.  Anytime i call the office i get excellent and quick answers and they have honestly been better than any doctor I have ever seen.  I have a check up with them tomorrow (my 3 month check up is almost a month late but I live in tuscaloosa and just had too much going on right now to get up there on time).  I drive 2 hours one way just to see him because I felt when checking into doctors that he was the best.  He has had the gastric bypass and so have his a couple of his nurses.  Hes honest and very dependable.  Sorry I don't know anything about the other doctors listed, but at least meeting and having a consult with him would not hurt anything.

Just getting started after 8 long years of research I am looking forward to  actually getting started.  It's about getting my life back! I know this is a lifestyle change forever, but the life I'm living now, even though I try to be happy, isn't what it should be. This is the tool that will allow me to start Truly living!

Hi Angi.  Good to meet another Freemanette.  I am right at 8 years post op and would use him again and again.   In fact he has done other surgeries on my since then that was not WLS related.   I trust Dr. Freeman and Tim with my life.  I wish I could stay that about ever surgeon.  My life is to important to me to just see any and ever one.

Don't know the other doctors, but Dr. Freeman and Time are amazing.  They did mine almost 2 years ago.  I've never been treated so well, including everyone in his office.  I would recommend him to all of my family and friends.  Good Luck!  It's an amazing journey.  Definitely not an easy one, but so worth it.
