I am 6 days post op. I am so tired of liquids I am ready to scream. The worst time is like now when the fam is having a veggie pizza that is filling the house. So hungry. I know I can't eat and mess up my suture line or dump, or any other side effect. Anybody have any liquid creations that aren't sweet that are safe.

When I came home and could do something other than liquids I did soupy mashed potatoes.   I also did cream soups.  I just made sure any chunks were strained out.
It will get better, I promise!!!

refried beans , mashed potatoes with gravy things that are moist and not dense.  EAT VERY SMALL AMOUNTS THOUGH or you may dump .  I DID as I couldnt fathom such a small amout as about 4 or 5 tablespoons filling me up ..
I never had to do the liquids though ....,My doc gave me food like i told you ..    sugar free jellos too but the KEY TO ALL is small small amounts I think ..
If not sure ask your Dr but none of those gave me problems .

I am 10 days Post-op and finding that I am having a little bit of a problem myself. I am allowed to eat soft foods, but anything other than eggs including the protien shakes makes me "froth" and "dump" it seems like. I had the "dry heaves" all-day yesterday. The protien shakes seem to make things worse...I like you am open to suggestions. I think I will keep a food log on things for sure that make me "not feel so good"
