Fluids

For all you newbies fluids is very important.  It is also just as important for the long term patient also.  For the newby try to get in at least 64 oz each day.  At first you will think this will not happen but sip, sip, sip all day.   You also need to stop drinking 30 minutes before your meal and not drink for 30 minutes after.   To me that is the hardest one to break if you drink with your meals.  For the long term patient they are now saying we should consume up to a 100 oz of fluid each day.   If you drink tea and coffee try and switch to decaf.  Staying hydrated is so very important for your major organs to work properly and also your skin to shrink better.

So true, and this is where I could do better!  I don't get enough good old fashioned water but I try to do better!  I still never drink with meals and wait 30 mins after I eat to drink!

Great reminder!

This has been the hardest for me...to get in that amount its hard to fathom not drinking for a minimum of three hours out of the day to get it in. Unless of course you do two meal replacements...anyway this is the hardest think I have found to do.
