Hello Everyone,

The time has finally come, I have a surgery date February 28Th, and I am extremely nervous.  Everyone would you please include me in your prayers and I truly appreciate your support for the last couple of years.  Thank you so much.

We will be 4 days apart for surgery.  Mine is the 24th.  I'll be praying for you and you for me.  Don't be nervous, just  focus on being positive and knowing that this is the beginning of getting our lives back.  Everyone I know says they wish they had done it sooner and that it was the best thing they've ever done for themselves.  I'm excited.

Thank you and I will pray for you.  I'm trying to get excited, but I keep crying, I got about a week to chop it up lol.  Excited or not I'm going for it. lol  And I will probably cry anyway on the way there because I am a big cry baby. lol

Wohoo!  you made it!  how are you doing?  I'm 14 days post op and doing quite well, but its so much easier when your head is positive. Don't let anything get you down.  Keep your positive game on, and make up your mind that this is the best thing you will ever do for yourself.  My first few days was a little tough meeting my fluid/protein goals, but as the days went by it got easier and easier.  Only one more week of fluids for me.  are you getting in all of your protein.  I think this helps the healing process.

Thank you so much!  I've lost 172 lbs--I actually hit my current weight at 13 months and have been maintaining ever since.

When I got to the mushy stage I ate scrambled egg with cheese, fat free re-fried beans with some salsa, cheese and plain Greek yogurt, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese with NSA peaches, tuna salad, chicken salad, shrimp salad (I made them in the Magic Bullet).

I kept a lot of different things ready to eat in the fridge.  Glad to hear you are doing so well!  Don't be surprised if things you liked before surgery you now hate and vice versa....I used to love egg salad, and now I cannot stand it!
