Tuesday! Whatcha Eatin? Exercising??

Okay--I admit it.  I have become lazy in this cold weather and I feel "fluffy".  I'm not heavier on the scale, although I am at the higher end of my 4 lb range.....and I guess at this weight, 4 lbs can really make a difference in how I feel??

I did not work out yesterday--BUT I WILL TONIGHT!  I was just too cold and lazy.  I do not like Winter--it is a struggle for me to go to the cold basement to work out.  DH has committed to doing P90X with me tonight so we will do it--before The Biggest Loser.  I've also noticed that I've been more "lax" in watching mindless eating.  I've got to buckle down and make sure I stick to my eating plan for the day--I haven't "gone crazy" but I also mindlessly pick at the nuts when I'm in the kitchen or I snack on salsa and chips......that has got to stop before I get out of control....I always say I'm obese in remission.....now I've become a backslider!  In the Summer I can get away with it more because I work out so hard, but since I've slacked off on the intensity of the workouts I also need to clamp the pie hole shut! 

It is weird how you just begin to feel "normal" and then you realize that you are anything but, and you must remain vigilant or those lost pounds that are constantly circling me in the universe will find a way to reattach to my butt!!

Today's eats: (for real--nothing other than what is on this list!)
B- 1/2 of a Jimmy Dean D-Light breakfast sandwich
S- Slim Jim, 27 almonds
L- going out--probably grilled salmon and steamed veggies
S-Chobani strawberry banana, nectarine
D-baked chicken, veggies

Dessert-coffee

Exercise:  I promise I'll do P90X arms and shoulders then Ab Ripper X.

Atleast you know what you need to do and are doing it. I dont have the willpower to quit the mindless eating. Altho, ive been doing extremely well except for last week. I am not the exercise fanatic like you. I so wish i was but im not motivated enough. I'll get there one day i keep telling myself.

B-1/2 c cottage cheese w/ nsa peaches
L-bbq, baked beans and slaw
S-protein shake?
D-baked ham, garlic mashed taters, and another veggie. probably green beans

J loves Mashed Potatoes and they are my weakness so i only peeled 4 small red potatoes lol.

i will do at least 15 minutes on the elliptical tonight.

Hilary--keep focusing on how far you've come!  This will never be easy for us, we have to rely on each other to keep our inspiration up! 

You are awesome, successful and a wonderful mother.....keep up the good work!

Better today on the eating:

B - 2 eggs, scrambled with a little cheese
S - 1/2 slim jim & coffee
L - small Wendy' s salad with small chili (could only eat about 3/4 of salad and 3 spoons of chili)
D - 3 oz chicken breast, tbl of corn, lima beans & bite of mashed potatoes

I just HOPE that I will be as committed as you are at your point in time!  Today has been a weird one for me.  I decided to try Shelly's Ricotta Bake tonight....and OMG it was WONDERFUL!!!!  I have been wanting veggies....and it had the tomato sauce in it...YUM YUM!  I'm still doing really good with everything I'm eating, so I feel so blessed!  But I don't think I am getting as much protien as I need to....it is SO hard for me to drink the protien shakes!  They are SO SWEET!  The only one I have found that I like is Muscle Milk.  I usually get one in a day and I feel like I should at least be drinking 2 a day.  They have 22 grams of protien.  Anyway, feeling totally stuffed and fat today after all my food intake....so here it goes!

B- OOPSY!  I did drink though I didn't eat anything
L-1/4 c mashed potatoes with cheese and sour cream
S-popsicle
D-Ricotta Bake..........1/4c and boy oh boy did I almost eat to much, it sat really heavy on my stomach but tasted GREAT! 
S-Muscle Milk-chocolate...drinking it right now....and UGH, I'm so full and don't know how much more I can take!!!

If you have any ideas on how to get in more protien, please let me know!  I am still on mushies as of right now!  But luckily I will start processed meats and chicken/tuna salad on Saturday!!!  I can't wait because I will be able to eat most of my protiens!!!  Just hope that it all sits well with me!

Add some Greek yogurt, cottage cheese and eggs.

Once you get to the weekend, make some tuna salad and chicken salad--you make these with Greek yogurt instead of mayo and it tastes great!  Just chew, chew, chew and you'll be fine....


You said you don't think you are getting enough protein........are you journaling your intake everyday?  How many grams are you averaging?

Yes, I am trying to keep up with it.  I didn't know how to chart the Ricotta Bake I made last night so not sure how much I got in yesterday, but normally I get about 40 grams a day.  And I know they doctor told me we should get about 60 grams a day.

Greek yogurt....hmmm, I'll definately try that!!!  : )

A 6 oz serving of Greek yogurt has around 20 grams of protein I believe.......so that would put you up to the 60 mark!
