I know that i need to workout and it's not new to me but the pain is killing me.  My breast and stomach are very loose and hanging very heavy so at night and first thing in the morning i am hurting so bad i can hardly stand it. My primary dr. was suppose to check into me having some reductions done but he keeps forgetting to do it. I am one of those people who has to work out to lose weight but this is killing me and making it very hard for me to keep working out.  I'm starting to lose hope.

Have you already had WLS?  I started working out regularly 6 months before my surgery and I was 324 lbs....so I know how it is.  I will tell you though that I believe the fact that I did it made my recovery so much better.  I was back on my treadmill (very slowly) the day after I got home from the hospital.

When I worked out, I wore compression garments.  It holds everything in place.  I wore 2 sports bras (one over the other) and compression pants that came up a bit higher than my waist.

I remember having some pain when working out then too--but the compression items did help.  Work your core as much as you can as core strength helps everything.

I am so proud of you for making this an important part of your journey!  You WILL BE successful long term.

Debbie if you have a plastic surgeon in mind that you would like to use call them and make an appt for a consultation.  You do not need your PC to make a referral.  If your stomach hangs far enough down to cover the pubic area then your insurance should cover.   The plastic surgeons office will know what to do.
