I lived Through the Hike!

Yesterday we did an off trail hike through the Sipsey Wilderness--6.5 miles to some amazing waterfalls.  There were 23 people on this hike.  I had no idea how extreme "off trail" hiking is.  There were times we had to slide down fallen trees to cross rivers, and sometimes we had to go thru streams.  There were large areas of tree log jams we had to crawl over, and some major boulders we had to climb.  We were often walking on steep hillsides, clinging for life...one wrong step, you fall, and you die.

I was very scared some of the times.  I can't believe I was able to do it--and I held my own!  However, I don't know that I'd do it again...well, yeah, I probably would!  Here are a few pics.

Hey there,

That is a  great place to hike.  We have hiked there a few times and really enjoyed it. The falls are really nice this time of the year! I also love to visit the covered bridges up there. Have you hiked to the wall of Jerico in norh alabama?

Stay thirsty my friends,
Felix
