Crestwood and BCBS
I was told when I first started this process that my insurance would pay 100%. So this afternoon, I get a call from Crestwood telling me that my part of this will be $1861.00 whi*****ludes a $500.00 deductible because, of course, the deductible starts over on January 1. I then call BCBS to find out what in the world is going on and why are they not paying 100% as I was told in the very beginning. I was told that "my benefits for 2011 have not loaded into the computer system yet" and I will have to call back later. Okay, what if my surgery had been on January 3rd? This is ridiculous. AND, I don't know about y'all but I don't have an extra $2,000.00 just laying around. Santa robbed me blind, LOL, and college tuition was paid yesterday, AND two of my children just "had" to have money for two mission trips. Good Grief!!
Anyway, if it ends up that I have to pay the entire $1861.00, Crestwood said I could pay $500.00 Monday and make payment arrangements for the rest. My husband who is normally very quiet said just cancel it. We will do it later. Oh My Lord, my blood pressure shot up sky high, I just know, LOL. I looked at him and I said very calmly....I do not care if we have to sell the house. I do not care if we have to sell the cars. I AM HAVING IT. He said...okay then. It is not THAT bad, we won't have to sell anything, just buckle down as my daddy used to say.

this happened to me too! luckily crestwood does allow you to make payment arrangements. i actually had enough time though to get all of it in prior to my surgery (mine was like $1300) and about two months later i was looking at my bank account (for no related reason) and there was a $700 credit from crestwood. idk why, i didnt second guess it....lol
good luck and see you on the loser's bench!
