5 day post op question
I have to agree with Louise on getting in all those fluids. You cannot get enough fluids. Just keep drinking as much as you can.a You have gone thru major surgery and your body is going thru major adjustments. Drinking is more important that eating at this point. You will really need to get in at least 96 ounces. I know it's hard right now, but you need to thrive toward that goal. The light headedness is very very common. I remember feeling the same way. Just rememeber your body is changing and you really have to catch up with the changes taking place in your body, Pretty soon, you will be looking in the mirror and not even recognizing yourself. It sure happened to me. It was hilarious. One day, I was in the bathroom at work, mind you this was almost 8 years ago and I lost my Mom about 6 weeks after I had surgery and I looked in the mirrow and I saw my Mama. It was the strangest thing. I looked again and it was ME. It really was me and I had starting looking like my Mama. I miss her so much today, more than every. I wish I could just have one more moment with her to let her know how much I love her. It's very sad, cause I'm an only child, but I have my Daddy and I have my kids and grandson, so it makes it somewhat better. I just wish I could see her again. Everyone tells me that I am looking more and more like her as I grow older. It's a little bit freaky, but oh well. I can live with that. She was a wonderful woman. Enjoy your new likfe and know that in time you mind frame will adjust to your body as it changes,
Lots of Christmas love,
Elle
If your dizziness continues I would follow-up with a dr.
It could be from the anesthesia or could even be low blood sugar or low blood pressure. Just take care of yourself and keep your eyes on the prize!
