Did someone give this to you already? I make it every year since I found it!
Crock Pot Chicken and Dressing
5 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
1 (9x9) pan cornbread, cooled and crumbled
8 slices day old bread, torn
4 eggs, beaten
1 onion, chopped
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
2 tsps dried sage
2 (14.5 oz) cans chicken broth (I use the low sodium)
2 (10.75 oz) cans cream of mushroom soup ( I use the fat free)
2 tbs margarine
Place chicken in a pot with water to cover, bring to a boil over medium heat. Boil till cooked thru (20 minutes or so). Cool and cut into pieces. In a slow cooker, stir together chicken, cornbread, bread, eggs, onion, salt, pepper, sage, chicken broth and chicken soup. Stir till well blended. Dot with margarine. Cover and cook on low 3 to 4 hours. Remove lid, and fluff with a fork. Let rest 15 minutes before serving.
