I'm back
It's been such a long time oops. I've been good I'm 13 weeks pregnant and really excited. I didn't reach my goal weight before getting pregnant but I was real close. My eatings kind of crazy now my blood sugar stays low constantly so I'm eating more sweets than I probaly should to stay above 49 which is showing up on my meter daily. I've gained about 2 lbs, my surgeon says I shouldn't gain more than 15 lbs during pregnancy is that feasable. My obgyn says 25 lbs. Anyway just wanted to drop in and say hi.
Congrats! Good to see you again. For pregnancy advice, I'd listen to my OB--tell your surgeon what the OB says. As far as the sugar goes, the more you eat, the more you'll fuel the problem with low blood sugar.
(ask your doctor if it is okay first)--Try eating several "mini meals" during the day--and cut out the simple carbs and processed sugar. This has really helped me with the low blood sugar. I eat approx 6 times a day, around 200-300 calories each time.
Keep us posted!

Welcome back Amy,
I went to your profile and checked out your photos. You look great!
Congratulations on the baby! I know that is something you have wanted for a long, long time. I agree with Kim. Go along with what your OB says, but let your surgeon know what the OB says. Maybe the two doctors should speak to each other. The OB may need to learn something about your surgery and the surgeon may need to know something about your pregnancy.
Let us here from you often. We love to hear baby stories.
